David Guetta & MORTON Present Future Rave Closing Party

Spain

It is rare that not only a new event or brand is created but a whole new genre of electronic music. This is exactly what world-renowned DJs and producers

achieved with Future Rave. The genre is a fusion of big room house, techno, and trance, characterized by dark, melodic, and euphoric sounds. Future Rave was born out of the desire to create something fresh in the electronic dance music (EDM) scene, pushing the boundaries of what is typically heard in mainstream EDM.

The concept took off in 2019 when Grammy winner David Guetta and MORTEN began releasing tracks that encapsulated this new sound. Their tracks, such as "Never Be Alone" and "Make It To Heaven," quickly gained traction, establishing Future Rave as a distinct sub-genre within the broader EDM landscape. The success of these releases set the stage for the genre to transition into a live event format.

The first major Future Rave event in Ibiza took place in 2021, at the iconic

nightclub, a venue synonymous with cutting-edge music and world-class production. The event series was an immediate success, drawing in both seasoned club-goers and new fans intrigued by the fresh sound. The Future Rave party in Ibiza created a truly unique experience, with state-of-the-art visuals, lighting, and sound systems enhancing the atmospheric, futuristic vibe of the music.

David Guetta and MORTEN’s residencies at Hï Ibiza during the summer seasons have since become a staple of the island's clubbing calendar. Each season, they bring new energy and innovations to the event, keeping it fresh and relevant while maintaining the core elements that define the Future Rave sound. The popularity of these events has also helped expand Future Rave beyond Ibiza with shows in Brooklyn’s Mirage and Los Angeles influencing the broader EDM scene and inspiring other artists to explore similar sounds.

In summary, Future Rave's history is one of rapid growth and cultural impact, rooted in a desire to innovate and elevate the electronic music experience. It has allowed other artists and guest DJs to experiment and push themselves to explore the genre, creating unforgettable nights around the globe.
