Art of the Wild
Las Vegas, Nevada
Overview
Since 2018 Art of The Wild has made a name for itself as the premier showcase for underground house and techno in Las Vegas. Their immersive stage design and expertly curated lineups are a breath of fresh air for those who want to soak up all that Sin City has to offer and enjoy an authentic underground experience.
On July 23-25, Art of The Wild enlists the talents of a brilliant list of world-class event curators. Rumors, Wild Is Love, Framework, Elrow, and Animale will each brings a unique palate to transform Encore Beach Club and XS Nightclub into a captivating sensory playground.
Each year Art of The Wild exceeds expectations with a lineup of sought-after producers and DJs, many of whom would be unexpected on a Vegas stage. Gorgon City, Hot Since 82, Michael Bibi, Rüfüs Du Sol, Claptone, Tale Of Us, and Bob Moses immediately leap off the page as must-see acts. Yet that only scratches the surface of the world-class talent that AoW has in store for the weekend.
Also scheduled to appear is a diverse set of DJs who each occupy their own unique space in the exquisite patchwork of house and techno’s sounds. Amongst them are Seth Troxler, Sohmi, Layla Benitez, Dixon, Dj Holographic, Âme, and Mano Le Tough.
Art Of The Wild tells a story of unity in global dance, says Framework’s Kobi Danan.
“The dance music community, like all other global communities in this day and age, is actually a quite connected and close-knit group of people,” he explains.
From the colorful rave circus antics of Elrow to the sultry bohemian vibe of Guy Gerber's Rumors. Each curator brings a unique aesthetic to Art Of The Wild. What they hold in common is that they put the fan at the center of the experience. And Vegas is the perfect location for house and techno fans to experience the beauty of these global brands in one place.
“We're all music lovers first and foremost, we started as fans." Danan told Gray Area in a recent email chat. "That said, when tossing around the idea of Art Of The Wild as a more underground leaning weekend in Las Vegas, we sat down and saw all these different brands, curators, artists, fans, and performers captivating their audiences, each in different regions. Many of them travel, but many had not come all the way out west in the US. We thought, what better place to join all the best entertainers in the world than here? It seemed natural to the history of Las Vegas and the kind of weekend we as fans would have wanted to attend.”
Since its inception Art of The Wild has crafted an unconventional entertainment experience for Vegas. It's a brave move that signals Sin City can hold space for the underground.
Danan says, “When we curate our weekends we look to bring in a little bit of something for everyone who engages in house, techno, and what we can call underground music."
