Overview

Growing from 7,000 attendees to over 50,000 since its inception in 2008, Kappa FuturFestival presents the 9th and largest edition of their renowned electronic music event. Now extended to three days, FuturFestival takes place on July 1-3, 2022 at Parco Dora in Turin, Italy.

Kappa FuturFestival is touted as one of the top electronic music festivals in all of Europe. And rightfully so with the deserved title of ‘Best International Festival’ awarded at the 2019 DJ Awards, joining other large festivals such as Ultra and Tomorrowland. The exceptional lineup year after year is partly to credit for that, but also the grounds itself and additional experiences beyond the music.

The three-day festival takes place at Parco Dora, a large urban park space with tons of lawn space, tree-lined pathways, and a unique natural/industrial blended design. Parts of old steel mills and warehouses set the bones of the atmosphere, then decorations and art installations are added for the complete festival experience. This park is easy to get to via public transportation or by car.

After the opening party on June 30th from 11 pm to 5 am with San Proper, Kappa FuturFestival kicks off on Friday with an exciting lineup of electronic artists. The first day presents chart-topping UK artist Four Tet, label head and underground trailblazer I Hate Models, Chicago house DJ and internet personality John Summit, world-famous South Korean DJ Peggy Gou, “high-tech minimal” German DJ Boris Brejcha, Lenske label owner/ Belgian artist Amelie Lens, and many more.

Then, Saturday brings even more electrifying names to Italy with English dance music duo CamelPhat, Chicago-born NYC-based influential DJ Honey Dijon, two time DJ Awards winner Jamie Jones, minimal techno/ microhouse leader Ricardo Villalobos, Italian DJ duo Tale of Us, Bronx-born Ibiza mainstays The Martinez Brothers, amongst many others.

Day three continues to pack the heat with top names such as globally renowned DJ Carl Cox, platinum hit producer Fisher, stripped-down electronic producer Helena Hauff, and Manchester house duo Solardo.

Kappa FuturFestival residents that show up annually include 4mina, Alex Dima b2b Munir Nadir, Dima, DJ Drums & Chants, Luca Rude, LVPICA, Marbøx, Nicola Gavino, Riverside, Sizing, The Taste.

Additionally, Kappa always book plenty of local artists. This year’s Italian acts include techno leader Gandalf, Turin-based duo Youniverse, Reggio Emilia-born Enrico Sangiuliano, and frequent headliner Joseph Capriati, who’s been DJing since he was 11 years old.

After parties will be going on after each day from 11 pm to 5 am, making for a nearly non-stop three days of electronic music.

The VIP Art & Techno experience is also a huge reason many people love this festival. This experience gives you access to an art installation by Italian artist Marinella Senatore called Bodies in Alliance as well as private visits to the studio of Fabio Viale, guided tours, and free access to the city’s top museums.

Tickets are currently on sale for Kappa FuturFestival. Previous years have sold out so don’t wait if you want to attend.
