Laidback Luke takes over the rooftop at Superior Ingredients on September 6th for a late summer dance music event set above Brooklyn. Joining him are Tommie Sunshine, Junior Sanchez, Takes Two, and Sarindipity, bringing together a lineup that connects house music history with New York club culture. The show brings one of the most respected names in house music to one of New York’s best open air rooms, pairing skyline views, a rooftop dance floor, and a rare set from an artist whose influence reaches deep into club culture.

A Dutch DJ, producer, and two time Kung Fu World Champion, Laidback Luke has been a major figure in dance music for more than two decades. His career began with a sound rooted in early Dutch house, where rougher drums, funky bass lines, fast mixing, and club focused records helped shape his name. Over the years, he has played major stages and clubs around the world while staying close to the raw, rebellious side of dance music that first defined his work.

Following a 78 date CODE/RED world tour in 2025, Luke is entering a new chapter with CONTINUUM, a return to the deeper, louder, and more club centered side of his sound. This period focuses on bouncy rhythms, rough house textures, indie club influence, and a fresh live energy built for dance floors rather than trends. For longtime fans, it reconnects with the early spirit of Laidback Luke. For new listeners, it is a chance to hear an artist with decades of history bringing his current sound into a rooftop setting.

Joining the lineup is the legendary, Tommie Sunshine, the Chicago raised, Brooklyn based DJ, producer, remixer, and songwriter known for bringing rock, alternative, and club music into the same orbit. After coming up through Midwest rave culture and early house clubs in Chicago, Sunshine built a career through high profile remixes, original productions, and collaborations with artists including Felix Da Housecat, Miss Kittin, Marc Romboy, James Murphy, DJ Hell, and The Disco Fries.

His catalog includes the Ultra Records compilation

, a Billboard Hot Dance Club Play number one remix of Yoko Ono’s “Give Peace a Chance,” a Katy Perry megamix featured on

Scrub The Ground (feat. DJ Funk)

With decades of experience across clubs, remixes, records, and crossover projects, Sunshine brings a sharp sense of history and left field club energy to the rooftop.

Also joining Laidback Luke is Junior Sanchez, a New York based house music veteran whose career spans more than three decades. Raised in New Jersey on a wide mix of records, Sanchez became immersed in New York club culture at a young age, signing his first record deal at 15 and going on to play a key role in house music through his DJ sets, productions, labels, and collaborations.

His work includes releases on respected labels like Strictly Rhythm, Nervous, and Defected, plus collaborations with artists across club, pop, hip hop, and alternative music. Through projects like Brobot Records and KULTUR, Sanchez continues to honor the roots of house music while supporting new talent and keeping its history connected to the dance floor.

Under Pressure by JuniorSanchez

Beyond his own music, Laidback Luke has played an important role in shaping the careers of artists including Avicii, Afrojack, Oliver Heldens, and Nicky Romero. He is also known for sharing knowledge around production, DJing, health, and the mental side of life as an artist, giving his story added depth beyond the booth. His sets are known for precision, personality, and a wide range of club records that move with purpose from warm grooves into peak time moments.

Leave The World Behind (feat. Deborah Cox) - Radio Edit

On September 6th, that full story comes to Superior Ingredients Rooftop. Expect a set that connects the raw feeling of underground house with the scale and experience of a DJ who has spent years reading dance floors across the world. With open air views, a late summer atmosphere, and Laidback Luke bringing his CONTINUUM chapter to New York, this rooftop show is built for sunset, nightfall, and a full dance floor under the city sky.
