While his name may have eluded you to this point, his debut single (released on Lee Foss' Repopulate Mars) “Drugs From Amsterdam,” has most certainly made its way through a speaker near you. The groundbreaking track has erupted with millions of streams and downloads across major platforms in just its 

 of release. And we are excited to welcome him for his debut USA performance on February 10, on the Roof at Superior Ingredients.

While he may only have one tune under his belt, Mau P is no one trick pony. He isn’t some random bedroom producer who got lucky or paid for big branding. On the contrary, Maurits Westveen (aka Mau P) has been a force in dance music for the better part of a decade. And it’s the culmination of that near decade of experience that led him to produce a sound that is as fresh as it is boundary-pushing.

Before there was Mau P, there was Maurice West, big room producer, and DJ. Westveen diligently worked his way to the main stages of the world’s largest festivals, playing sets at Ultra and Tomorrowland. Collaborations and sign-offs from industry leaders like HARDWELL, W&W, and KSHMR affirmed that the young up-and-comer was indeed on the right track, but as Maurits matured from his teens to his twenties, so did his taste in music. In quarantine, he found himself increasingly spellbound by the energy and depth of the underground sounds of house and techno. After a successful trial run testing the addition of these sounds to his Maurice West sets, Westveen followed his heart and chased the sounds that set his heart ablaze—Mau P was born. A hybrid fueled by the sounds of the underground entwined with the energy and flare of main stage big room, Mau P provides an utterly undeniable experience.

His debut single, “Drugs From Amsterdam,” has graced the sets of techno titans, house heroes, electro gods, big room beasts, and more. If one release is enough to transcend genre lines, imagine what is possible in a full set. With a stockpile of unreleased boundary-pushing tracks and a who’s who list of industry taste-makers lining up to work with the young gun, Mau P is the must-see talent of the year.

Playing the perfect compliment to Mau P, we have an equally potent rising house music star in the house to play support. In recent years San Francisco-born 

’s sphere has grown much larger than the stalwart West Coast capital of the weird and funky. Songs like “Give It To Ya” and “Something Special” landing on key house labels like Psycho Disco and 

, respectively, a remix for Justin Martin, and the anticipated release of “See Me Give It” on hau5trap are all clear signs that she’s set to dominate. Also a prolific vocalist, she sang on Niles Shepard’s Beatport #1 “Follow Me,” released on Slothacid. The house music triple threat’s tour schedule has grown in step with her recordings, taking her to cities across the US. We’re excited to welcome this burgeoning star to the decks at Superior Ingredients.

Since her first gig in 2018, MISS DRE has worked hard to make a name for herself.  The Bay Area-based DJ and producer has spent her time opening for artists like Justin Martin, Walker & Royce and Sacha Robotti, and playing iconic San Francisco venues such as The Midway and Halcyon. Now a regular artist on Gene Farris' Farris Wheel Recordings, MISS DRE is just getting started.
