Step into a world of introspection with Two Lanes at Brooklyn Steel on September 13th. Opened in 2017, Brooklyn Steel is a renowned music venue in Brooklyn, New York, and was named one of the 10 best live music venues in America by Rolling Stone. With over 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify and support from BBC Radio 1, Sirius XM, and Triple J, this show with Two Lanes is a can’t miss night.

Berlin-based siblings Leo and Rafa Schmid have made a name for themselves in the music industry, offering a unique downtempo sound that blends emotive electronica with deep, thoughtful compositions. Their music has gained traction not only in Germany but around the globe, drawing listeners in with a sound that feels timeless and reflective.

Coming from a musically inclined family, the duo brings together two different backgrounds—Leo, who studied classical piano both in Germany and New York, and Rafa, who dove into electronic music through DJing and production. This blend of backgrounds has allowed them to create a sound that complements both of their musical tastes and experiences.

Silence

Inspired by artists like Paul Kalkbrenner, Bonobo, Moderat, and others, Two Lanes have skillfully woven these influences into their own unique productions. Just as the name Brooklyn Steel reflects the venue's roots in steel manufacturing, with much of the original steel repurposed for the space, Two Lanes bring a powerful blend of sound that’s built to last. The venue, with its main floor, balcony, forty restrooms, and three bars, offers the perfect backdrop for a night of introspective music. We’re excited for this show and can’t wait to experience Two Lanes live at Brooklyn Steel on September 13th!
