In the heart of East Williamsburg’s industrial zone, an unmarked warehouse hums with anticipation. On Gray Area event nights, 99 Scott transforms from a quiet building into a world of music and art.

The first thing you notice is its raw charm: a historic brick warehouse facade, subtly lit by neon glows leaking from inside. Step through the heavy doors and you're greeted by cavernous 20-foot ceilings and original brick walls—a fully renovated space that still honors its warehouse roots. It’s spacious but never cold. It feels ready for whatever energy the crowd brings.

99 Scott sits at the border of East Williamsburg and Bushwick, in a neighborhood where warehouses have turned into art spaces and clubs. Inside, the venue finds balance—gritty yet polished. During daytime events, light streams through large casement windows onto concrete floors. By night, those same walls catch flickering projections and shadows under shifting light.

The architecture plays a big role in the experience. The open layout and high ceilings give the room breathing room, while subtle greenery, foliage, and rotating art installations soften the harder materials. It’s not just a club—it’s a creative space that adapts.

One of 99 Scott’s best features is its layout. What starts as a single large room quickly reveals multiple zones. Walk past the main floor and you’ll find rolling garage doors leading to a spacious courtyard. In summer, this becomes an open-air dance floor. Dancers flow between the thumping main room and outdoor space strung with lights, murals, and ivy-covered brick. The indoor-outdoor layout gives events a rhythm all their own.

The venue's flexibility has made it host to everything from art installations and fashion shows to underground parties. DJ booths have even been placed in the center of the room for 360° experiences, dissolving the boundary between performer and crowd. Each event takes on a different shape.

The sound system at 99 Scott is tuned precisely for the space. The building’s structure keeps the sound full and clear, from bass to treble. It never overwhelms but fully surrounds you. Add in a lighting rig that bounces lasers off steel beams or casts moody projections on brick, and you’ve got an atmosphere that’s immersive without needing to be overstated.

What makes 99 Scott stand out in New York’s scene isn’t any single feature—it’s how everything fits together. Since 2015, the venue has hosted everything from wine tastings and art fairs to warehouse parties and runway shows. Fashion labels like Eckhaus Latta and Telfar have used it as a creative backdrop. DJs like 

 have turned it into a sweat-soaked dance floor.

By design, it has no single identity. It can be an art gallery by day and a packed club by night. Each Gray Area show adds to its character—whether it's AYYBO playing to a packed courtyard or a techno set thundering through the main hall. It’s the kind of space that reflects the people who fill it.

Thousands have passed through its doors, from artists and musicians to nightlifers and creatives. 99 Scott doesn’t rely on flash or spectacle—it offers the raw materials and lets the community shape the night.
