Arjuna Schiks is a producer and DJ from Amsterdam that has been releasing music for well over a decade, since 2008. His style fits into the ambient and tech-house genres but can’t be boxed into either. Schiks creates house and techno with a distinctive melodic and energetic edge. The intense synths and melancholic storytelling melodies give his music an emotional touch that incites both introspection and euphoric dancing.

Schiks has become known in the Dutch house and techno scene for his charm and the way his music evokes emotion like no other. His nearly 15 years on the scene, many successful releases, and countless live performances have cemented his place as an important figure in Dutch electronic music.

The Dutch artist has released original music on notable imprints, such as Gem Records, Einmusika Recordings, Traum, Treibstoff, Wolfskuil, and Burlesque Musique. He’s collaborated with prominent names like Einmusik as well as other underground faces like Dimitri. Further, the amount of remixes Schiks has received on his original music proves the appeal of his work. He’s been remixed by the likes of Lake Avalon, Niko Schwind, Jonas Salbaach, Beatamines, Tim Engelhardt, and much more.

His original music is always met with raving reviews, but his live performances are what solidifies his place in electronic music. Schiks has performed at clubs and festivals such as Loveland, Mysteryland, Solar Norway, Time Warp Holland, Kater Holzig, and Wilde Renate. Coming up this year, Schniks can be found at Loveland Festival in Amsterdam yet again.

He’s also been well-received outside of the music community, with filmmakers, poets, advertisers, and more supporting and seeking out his work.
