Tasteful Techno: An Interview with Fatima Hajji

Let's Talk About Hard Techno

Fatima Hajji, the Spanish-Moroccan powerhouse, commands respect in the techno scene with her thrilling, full-throttle performances. Drawing deeply from both Moroccan and Spanish cultures, she brings an exciting blend of influences to her music, curating unapologetically gritty sets that keep crowds moving deep into the night. Her signature style seamlessly combines analog roots with contemporary sounds, including techno-house, making her sets as relentless as they are captivating.

Fatima’s passion for music ignited at a young age. By 12, she was already experimenting with mixing tapes, laying the foundation for what would become a lifelong career. Her dedication led her to master vinyl mixing by 16, and by 18, she had made the bold move from her hometown of Salamanca to Madrid. This decision marked the beginning of her rise in the techno world, as she dove headfirst into music production, quickly gaining recognition for her distinctive style.

Her ability to connect with the audience is unmatched. Whether she’s playing in intimate underground venues or headlining massive festivals, Fatima’s energy is electric, her mixing style eclectic, and her crowd control second to none. Her sets are a visceral experience, with heart rates and vibes soaring as she takes the decks.

Adrenalina - Original Mix

Her career has seen her grace the stages of some of the world’s most prestigious festivals and venues, including

, and Airbeat One, as well as more intimate yet equally impactful shows at Amnesia Ibiza, Duro Festival, and Rotterdam Rave. Sharing line-ups with heavyweights like

, and Sara Landry, Fatima stands tall among the giants of the genre.

Fatima’s influence extends far beyond the DJ booth. She’s also an accomplished producer, with tracks that have notched millions of streams and climbed Beatport’s charts, further solidifying her position in the industry. Her music is known for its depth and intensity, drawing from a wide range of influences while staying true to the raw energy of techno.

Cabroncete

In addition to her musical achievements, Fatima has established her own record label and event brand,

. Inspired by the symbols of the moon (M) and silver, SILVER M embodies Fatima’s vision of sound and represents the power of standing out, the magic of light breaking through darkness, and the irresistible pull of the night. The brand has hosted unforgettable parties in iconic locations such as Amsterdam, Ibiza, and Barcelona, all renowned for their vibrant music scenes.

As Fatima continues to tour the globe, she brings her unique cultural influences and boundless energy to every performance. Whether she’s headlining a major festival or spinning at an underground rave, Fatima Hajji remains a defining force in the techno world, consistently creating unforgettable experiences for music lovers everywhere.
