Overview

Omar+ is a British electronic artist, vocalist, and producer known for blending house-focused production with RnB-influenced vocal work. Raised just north of London, he grew up listening to classic house figures such as Kerri Chandler alongside major pop and RnB artists from his childhood. He has cited the visual worlds of filmmaker Tim Burton as an unexpected but influential source of artistic inspiration, shaping the atmosphere and narrative depth behind his work.

During his university years, Omar+ frequented London clubs including fabric and Phonox, experiences that helped refine his sense of pacing, groove, and the energy required to carry a dancefloor. These formative nights shaped the direction of his sound and pushed him to begin building a project that fused his vocal writing with the house and 4x4 structures he gravitated toward.

Omar+ first gained attention with early releases such as “Lights,” “AfterParty” with GEE LEE, and “Pretty Girls,” which collectively accumulated millions of streams and introduced his mixture of RnB phrasing and club-driven production to a global audience. His catalog soon expanded through collaborations with producers including Josh Baker, bullet tooth, Obskür, and Luke Dean, with many of these tracks circulating through clubs in the UK, Europe, and North America. His work has been supported by a range of established DJs, including Peggy Gou, Chris Stussy, Prospa, Danny Howard, Jamie Jones, and MK.

Several of his releases have achieved notable chart and radio recognition. “Back It Up,” created with Josh Baker, entered the Official Charts and contributed to a rise in visibility for both the track and his vocal-focused style. “Make Believe,” produced with Luke Dean, earned BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record designation and became a widely-played single in his sets, accompanied by a large pop-up launch event in London that drew more than a thousand attendees on short notice.

Beyond studio work, Omar+ has performed at major events including Reading and Leeds Festival, appearing in front of sizeable crowds early in his career. He has also hosted a residency on Rinse FM, using the platform to present the music shaping his influences and current direction.

Positioned between vocal-driven songwriting and contemporary club production, Omar+ continues to build a presence across festivals, clubs, and radio, maintaining a steadily expanding audience in the UK and internationally.
