Remy Unger has been blending unique textures and waves of pure energy since the nineties. Born in The Hague, the Netherlands, Remy unlocked his passion for electronic music in a dark murky club emitting thumping bass the summer of 1990. Intoxicated with the sound, he bought his own set of turntables and eventually gained residency at Silly Symphonies events in Holland. As he honed in on his craft people began to take notice of his talent and he was soon offered the opportunity to play for a much larger crowd at the Amsterdam based club, Roxy.

His flawless, tight mixing coupled with his impeccable musical selections brought his name to light and international bookings started coming his way. Remy found himself playing Twilo in New York, John Digweed’s Bedrock Nights and Ibiza’s most prominent clubs. After two years of committing himself to the Roxy, Remy fluttered on to new ventures and packed his schedule with events across the globe. His straightforward, no-nonsense approach to music combined with his easy-going personality took him to all the hot spots in Europe, South Africa, Asia, North and South America.

His first triumphs as a producer came from working together with Sven van Hees on Wonka Records. Sven and Remy then collaborated to found Global Cuts, a widely respected imprint that brought forward classics such as ‘Piano Power’. His work with DJ and producer Roland Klinkenberg advanced his career even further; it was this partnership that launched some of his classics like ‘Ignite’, ‘Till Ya Drop’, and ‘Mexico Can Wait’.

Remy’s career has seen dozens of successes. He’s performed at distinguished clubs/events all over the world such as DanceValley, Extrema, Fur Washington, Turnmills, Guvernment Toronto, Amnesia Ibiza, Timewarp NL, and Awakenings to name a few. His own imprint, 68 (Remy’s birth year) Recordings was founded in 2006 together with Armin Van Buuren’s Armada Music. With a career that spans over four decades, Remy has no doubt left his mark on the electronic music scene.
