The Best House and Techno Tracks of 2021

The sound of modern dance and beat music is designated territory, belonging to the one and only, TOKiMONSTA. For the past decade, this LA producer and Young Art label creator has made a major impact in the world of electronica and heavily contributes to the definition of kinetic hip-hop beats. As a result, she has earned endorsements from some of the greatest names in electronic music and represented the West Coast underground at the Grammys. Not only has TOKiMONSTA exceeded industry standard, she has done so without forfeiting the unique quality of her POV or relying on glimmering blowouts and grandiose exaggerations. TOKiMONSTA’s genius is out there, conveying pure, musical joy to her 1.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify and influencing the next generation of sound. She is the model of compositional ingenuity and psychedelic rhythms fixed into the polished, futuristic labyrinths of hip-hop instrumentalism, R&B-soul, pop, house, and intelligent dance music.

With her artful vocation and unprecedented lived experiences, TOKi has overcome a great deal of hardship to design a portfolio of treasures. Her creations have concretely placed her in the title she holds today as one of dance music’s best producers. For many other artists, attaining this stature may have been deemed a career peak, but not for TOKi. She has already crossed the finish line, but will not stop running. Oasis Nocturno, TOKiMONSTA’s thirteenth studio album debuted on March 20, 2020 and has shown the music world her versatility and raw talent, encompassing multiple genres into 12 perfectly curated tracks. Since then, she has released a mixture of seven singles and EPs, including harmonious collaborations. TOKi’s work is a tribute to music, the impenetrable love she has for it and it has for her. With music she has sanctuary, a place of peace. TOKiMONSTA is a true artistic creator able to capture and emulate herself into her creations and share them with the rest of the world, in hopes that we may all find sanctuary.
