Overview

Twiddle is a four-piece jam band that hails from the small town of Castleton, Vermont. Following in the footsteps of another famous jam band from the northeastern United States, the ever-cultish foursome, Phish, Twiddle brings genres from all over the world into their music.

The band’s extended improvisational sections often integrate bluegrass, jazz, reggae, rock, and funk, drawing upon the traditions of musical cohesion and understanding among band members that began on stage with jazz greats like the Miles Davis Septet.

Twiddle first hit the road on what would become a massive touring career back in 2005 with Ryan Dempsey on keyboards and vocals, Mihali Savoulidis on guitar and lead vocals, and Brook Jordan on percussion and vocals.

Like many jam bands that have broken through the musical masses including The Grateful Dead, The String Cheese Incident, and The Disco Biscuits, Twiddle have developed a strong community around them. Members of that community often follow them from show to show, spreading positivity and love.

Some destinations where that community has joined the band include Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver and the celebrated Tennessee music festival Bonnaroo. Twiddle have also played in numerous notable rock clubs around the US including Port Chester, New York’s Capitol Theatre, and Washington D.C.’s 9:30 Club.

In 2022 Twiddle released their fifth full-length studio album entitled Every Last Leaf. Spanning 15 tracks in total, the album dives into the cycles that are inseparable from the nature of the universe.

The leaves fall from the trees every autumn only to sprout again in spring. The earth completes a rotation and a new day begins.

Twiddle are beginning this new phase of the world following the pandemic with a new album, bringing a newfound perspective on music and humanity to every show on their calendar.
