In the dynamic landscape of electronic music, the duo known as [Madness of] WTCHCRFT and KYRUH stands out for their raw energy and innovative approach to techno. Their collaboration represents a fusion of distinct yet complementary styles, creating a sound that is both intense and captivating.

WTCHCRFT, the artistic persona of Anthony McLean, emerged from a background rich in diverse musical influences. Initially delving into genres like trap, wave, and witch house, his journey took a pivotal turn during the lockdown in 2020 when he shifted his focus to creating techno. This transition marked a significant evolution in his artistic expression, leading to a sound characterized by aggressive, high-energy acid tracks.

WTCHCRFT's approach to techno is deeply influenced by his rap roots, infusing his music with a vocal-driven, hip-hop-like flow that commands attention and movement. His early success on SoundCloud, including a release with the Cologne imprint Noorden at just 16, set the stage for his burgeoning career. WTCHCRFT's presence in Brooklyn's dance music scene and his regular performances in Berlin underscore his growing influence and versatility as an artist.

KYRUH, based in Brooklyn, brings a distinct style to the partnership, known for her hard, gritty, and high-caliber techno. Her music is described as purgative and high-energy, perfectly suited for the rave environment. KYRUH's approach to DJing, characterized by a deep connection and passion for the music she plays, has made her a notable figure in the techno scene. Her style complements WTCHCRFT's, resulting in a powerful synergy that captivates audiences.

The collaboration of [Madness of] WTCHCRFT and KYRUH is exciting as their combined energy and unique styles create a musical experience that is both potent and vivacious. As they continue to push the boundaries of techno, their partnership is not just a meeting of musical minds but a showcase of the genre's potential for constant reinvention and creativity.
