Iconic German DJ, Sven Väth, is bringing techno sounds to Marina Botafoch for two exclusive dates during the Ibiza 2022 summer season, the first being Tuesday, June 21st. Head of the Cocoon label and famous on the White Isle for the event series of the same name, Sven Väth had only released a few of his Ibiza dates up until now, so we knew something special was coming. Playing in an all-new intimate space, Sven will grace the decks of Club Chinois - the space formerly occupied by Heart Ibiza - and will be playing extended sets under the banner Catharsis, the name of his solo album released earlier this year. Sven’s style for this event will encapsulate the essence of the many different sounds he’s moved through across his incredible 40-year career. You’ll be hearing a mix of minimal, techno, electro, ambient, and everything in between. He’s a storyteller, and his Catharsis event at Club Chinois is something not to be missed when you’re visiting Ibiza. Club Chinois is truly the perfect location for such an exclusive event. Island Hospitality, the team behind London’s iconic nightspot Park Chinois, have brought their decadent, 1930s-inspired concept to the White Isle. As a DJ and electronic music producer, Sven Väth is a three-time DJ Awards winner with a rich history both on the global stage and in his home city of Frankfurt. His infamous Cocoon parties began as one-offs in Europe and America until 2013, when Amnesia’s Mar T offered him the space for a trial period of four dates on the only day the club was closed - Mondays. And up until recent years, Mondays have been synonymous with Cocoon. Without a weekly residency with this techno god, Catharsis at Club Chinois should be number one on your list.
