Legendary multi-award-winning DJ-producer deadmau5 will headline the official Electric Zoo after-party at Musica on Saturday, September 2nd.

Producers come and go, but the iconic music of Joel Zimmerman, a.k.a. deadmau5, has rightfully earned him the title of icon. His flawless, distinctive sound and recognizable silhouette (mouse head included) have helped make deadmau5 a household name. The Canadian artist and mau5strap label boss has produced groundbreaking electronic music – especially that of prog house – for nearly two decades.

Among deadmau5’s list of significant milestones was his remarkable performance at the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards as part of its first-ever telecast performance highlighting electronic music. He was even the first electronic music artist to grace the cover of Rolling Stone. He’s released three critically-acclaimed albums: 4×4=12, For Lack of a Better Name, and Random Album Title and seen international chart success with singles "Sofi Needs a Ladder," "Ghosts 'n' Stuff,” and his collaborative single with Kaskade, "I Remember.”

This three-story, 25,000-square-foot venue was formerly home to two iconic institutions: Space Ibiza New York and FREQ. When Musica opened its doors in March 2022, it became Manhattan’s largest club. Celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere, Musica blends the city's effervescen energy with state-of-the-art sound and innovative lighting technology.

Electric Zoo Festival is an annual electronic music event held over Labor Day weekend at Randall's Island in New York City since 2009. Renowned for featuring top-tier EDM artists, the festival is distinguished by its elaborate stage designs, light shows, and themed environments, offering attendees a vibrant and immersive musical experience.
