Deep Dish returns to Brooklyn on September 25th for a special all night long set at Refuge, bringing Dubfire and Sharam behind the decks from open to close. The night also marks Refuge’s one year anniversary, bringing together a major milestone for the club with a duo whose history in house music spans more than three decades.

Formed in Washington, D.C., Deep Dish became one of the defining duos of the 90s house scene. Their 1995 remix of De’Lacy’s “Hideaway” helped introduce their sound to a wider audience before their 1998 album Junk Science took things even further. The album delivered records like “The Future of the Future (Stay Gold)” featuring Tracey Thorn and “Stranded,” while establishing Deep Dish as artists who could move between deeper club music and records built for a much wider audience. 


Their remix catalog is just as important. Deep Dish worked with artists including Madonna, Janet Jackson, Dido, and Stevie Nicks, and their remix of Dido’s “Thank You” earned them the Grammy for Best Remixed Recording. They later received another Grammy nomination for “Say Hello.” 

After stepping away from the project to focus on their solo careers, Dubfire and Sharam reunited in 2014. Dubfire went on to become one of techno’s most recognized names, while Sharam built his own catalog, including his massive 2006 rework of Eddie Murphy’s “Party All the Time.” 


Now Deep Dish is fully back on the road, with the duo touring together throughout 2026. On September 25th, they bring that history to Refuge in Brooklyn for another New York appearance. 

For longtime house heads, this is a chance to hear the duo behind some of the records that defined an era. For anyone who discovered Dubfire or Sharam through their solo careers, it is a chance to hear where a major part of their story began.
