On February 7th, The Room of Superior Ingredients in Brooklyn hosts a rare double-header bringing together Layla Benitez and David Lindmer for a night built around contrast, tension, and shared musical language. Both artists will perform individual solo sets before closing the night with an extended back-to-back that brings their worlds into direct conversation.

Layla Benitez arrives as one of the most recognizable names in contemporary club culture. Raised in New York and now based in Miami, she has developed a sound shaped by years spent between underground rooms and major festival stages. Her rise has included standout appearances at Coachella, Circoloco, Afterlife, The Warehouse Project, EXIT, Tomorrowland, and Mayan Warrior, along with a defining residency at Space Miami. Known for threading synth-heavy selections with darker tonal elements, her sets move fluidly between styles while maintaining a steady emotional pull that reflects both her roots and her global reach.

David Lindmer brings a contrasting yet complementary energy to the night. The British producer and DJ has built a reputation for long-form sets and cinematic productions released on Afterlife, Upperground, Purified, Simulate, and his own Running Clouds label. His recent collaboration with MRAK placed him firmly within the Afterlife universe, while his touring schedule across Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East has positioned him as a trusted selector for extended and late-night programming.

Together, their back-to-back promises a meeting point between expansive melodies, tension-led progression, and floor-focused momentum. The night will also feature support from local selectors Rshand and Warhov, adding some flair to an already epic lineup.

Gray Area is pioneering the "Doubleheader" event series, drawing inspiration from back-to-back baseball games to showcase artists with similar styles but unique fan bases. By having one artist follow another and culminating in a collaborative back-to-back (B2B) set, Doubleheader aims to create a powerful platform for musical discovery and cross-pollination. Embracing the "B2B" spirit, the initiative seeks to introduce audiences to new sounds while strengthening the dance music ecosystem.
