Event Recommendation

It’s time for some hedonistic fun at Hï Ibiza (recently voted by DJ Mag as the #1 Club in the world) for the ninth installment of Glitterbox in 2022. Come alive under a sea of disco balls, sequins, and sass on July 3 from midnight to 6 am. There’s no atmosphere quite like it on the White Isle! The last day of the week has been truly claimed by Glitterbox Ibiza, bringing positive vibes, incredible house and disco names, drag queens, club kids, performers, and dancers that bring everything to life. If you’re looking for the most uplifting night while you’re in Ibiza, Glitterbox is it! Brought to you by Defected, bringing that re-imagined house, funk, and disco heat. Get glam, get sassy and get ready - it’s time to party! The July 3 edition has an incredible lineup of electronic music heavyweights, ready to keep you dancing all night long along with the awe-inspiring production, uplifting atmosphere, and ‘come as you are’ policy. And let’s not forget the Wild Corner. For those not in the know, it’s a DJ booth and dancefloor inside the unisex restroom at Hï Ibiza. They’re quite possibly the most exciting toilets in the world! Responsible for 2010’s timeless anthem “Baby I’m Yours,” Breakbot and Irfane are well versed in disco and dance and will surely fill Hï Ibiza with feel-good vibes. The kings of French disco-funk are known for remixing everyone from Purple Disco Machine to Lizzo. Producer Tom Kerridge heads up Girls of the Internet, which is more of a collective than a group, with Tom working with a stable of collaborators at different times. As a result, their sound is beautifully varied. Kerridge pulls inspirations from drag queens and performers and will be sure to put on a show at Glitterbox! Born and raised in the home of house music, Chicago, Honey Dijon takes heavy influence from the city’s music scene. When she moved to New York, she also pulled heavy influence from the second city of house music and one of its founding fathers, Danny Tenaglia. Her sound encompasses the sound of classic house music, and she always puts on a show that’s to die for. Horse Meat Disco co-founders James Hillard and Jim Stanton started their careers by creating a safe queer space for disco lovers in London. Hillard has been a disco fan since childhood as his dad used to collect disco records. Stanton grew up on rock music but later became a disco lover. Their enthusiastic energy behind the decks is something to behold! Bringing a wealth of DJ knowledge, love, and a sense of fun to every set, Jonjo Jury is a regular on Glitterbox lineups around the world. He has a residency at London’s XOYO and has played in clubs from New York to Athens and Tokyo to Sao Paulo. Grammy Award winner and seven-time nominee Louie Vega has an incredible career spanning over three decades. His versatile style keeps the legend relevant, fun, and ready to party. Luke Solomon is a British DJ and producer, co-running the London-based house label Music for Freaks. He started DJing in the early 90s and has had a fantastic career.
