Horse Meat Disco

 celebrated the sounds of disco even before it became cool. Co-founded by James Hillard and Jim Stanton, HMD also encompasses residents Severino and Luke Howard. The crew continues its evolution into a powerful queer and club culture force. The Horsemen will bring their authenticity to celebrate the new year at Oasis, Miami.

Over the years, Horse Meat Disco have established themselves as global leaders of the queer party scene. Their flamboyant and entertaining nature has earned them residencies in New York, Berlin, Lisbon, and beyond. This year, the horsemen have graced the stages of FLY Open Air, ADE, HE.SHE.THEY, Disco In The Dunes, and many more club nights. The band have also long been a mainstay at festivals like Glastonbury, Bestival, and Festival No. 6.

Rooted in hedonism, rhythm, freedom, and emotion, a Horse Meat Disco set reinforces everything invigorating about disco to conjure their initial spirit of “a queer party for everyone.” This is inclusive of, but not limited to, “Homos and Heteros, club kids, bears, fashionistas, naturists, guerilla drag queens, and ladies who munch.” The horsemen are known for their entertaining, deep-diving selections with a typical Horse Meat Disco set blending classics, Italo disco, house, oddities, and punk funk.

Outside of the club, the Horse Meat Disco train rolls across the airwaves on Rinse FM, where the crew hold down a weekly residency, serving more soulful shades of their sublime taste, often encompassing rave groove, gospel, and anything they wouldn’t be able to get away with on the dance floor. Their most recent mixed album, 

, carries 15 eclectically brilliant tracks traversing classic disco cuts, wonky dance floor groovers, and silky smooth soul. They love the music, and it shows in their longevity and the worldwide recognition that they have achieved amongst the coolest DJs and artists on the planet.
