Seismic Dance Event
Austin, Texas
Overview
Seismic Dance Event is celebrating its fifth edition on November 11-13, 2022 with its biggest lineup to date. Seismic 5.0 brings a distinctive electronic affair to Austin, Texas with a blend of house and techno performers. World-famous and underground names alike perform at the budding Southern festival since 2018, and this year’s edition takes that to the next level.
Taking place at The Concourse Project, Seismic 5.0 offers an underground warehouse rave feel but with top-notch production and talent. As the only music festival in Southern US that focuses on house and techno, Seismic’s events draw a large crowd every year. Last year’s edition sold out with thousands of attendees across the seven acre lot. The venue features three stages, art installations, food trucks, and more wrapped in world class production.
Some of the largest names in electronic are performing across Seismic’s three stages, including hit-maker ACRAZE, techno queen Charlotte De Witte, French veteran producer Dombresky, The xx member Jamie xx, Femme House leader LP Giobbi, and Bronx-bred duo The Martinez Brothers.
The excitement doesn’t end there, even with only the first phase of the lineup released. New York label boss and boundless producer CID, English electronic duo Gorgon City, French techno artist I Hate Models, big beat pioneer Fatboy Slim, future house trailblazer HI-LO, and platinum producer duo CamelPhat are other exciting names booked for this year’s Seismic Dance Event.
Seismic’s focus on the underground goes beyond just the atmospherical feeling of the event. They consistently showcase and support artists that are still on the come up and those that sit comfortably in the underground lowlight. This year’s undercards include R&B-influenced Australian artist Hayden James, multi-instrumentalist/producer Chloé Caillet, DIY producer Miane, blazing up-and-comer Sam WOLFE, and boundless German duo Innellea.
There’s no doubt that the next lineup phases will bring even more exciting names. Past Seismic Dance Events featured artists such as Jamie Jones, Bonobo, Nina Kraviz, Adam Beyer, Dom Dolla, and Chris Lake.
