On June 2, we've got our next Doubleheader event going down on The Roof of Superior Ingredients with two legit veterans of the global house music scene, Gene Farris and Matthias Tanzmann. Gene and Matthias are in a league of their own in the house music sphere. Equally talented, they've both had an immeasurable influence on the electronic music landscape. We can't wait to share another epic day of house music with these two stalwarts of the scene high above the streets of Brooklyn.



Born and raised in Chicago, Gene Farris cut his teeth in Chicago's infamous early 90s warehouse party scene. There's no question that Gene has always been at the forefront of house music. In fact, he was recruited by Godfather of House, Frankie Knuckles, to become one of the first residents at his club, the Power House. In the decades that have followed, Gene has remained on the cutting edge of house while always paying homage and respect to its roots.




A set from Gene is an education and an invitation to release your inhibitions. His catalog delves deep into the history of the genre. It includes some of Defected's earliest releases, collaborations with Green Velvet alias Cajual, and a litany of rock-solid groovers on his taste-making imprint, Farris Wheel Recordings. Launched in 1996, he's released hits from legends like Paul Johnson and Ron Carrol alongside beats from today's hottest talent, including Will Clarke, Sonny Fodera, J. Worra, MISS DRE, and Max Low.



Like Gene, Matthias is a certified legend of the scene. He got his start after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Living in Leipzig (formerly in East Germany) he helped form the foundation of the dance music scene. In 2000 he formed Moon Harbour Recordings, a label that continues to shape and define deep and tech house.




Not only is he part of the trio Better Lost Than Stupid with Martin Buttrich and Davide Squillace, Matthias is a staple of the global club circuit. He's made the walls seat from Ultra Miami to Tomorrowland, the Brooklyn Mirage to his many appearances across Ibiza. And now he's returning to New York to rock the floor alongside Gene Farris for you at Superior Ingredients.




Doubleheader allows two artists with similar sounds but divergent audiences to share sonic space. Each artist will electrify the dancefloor with a solo set, then join forces for a rare and thrilling B2B to close the evening.

SPINALL is synonymous with Afrobeat in the celebrated artists' native Nigeria. In fact, in recent years, he's become the poster boy for the genre well beyond the borders of The Continent, championing the sound globally. On June 4, the multi-award-winning DJ, producer, and songwriter will electrify The Roof of Superior Ingredients with his high-energy, uplifting sound powered by his African heritage.




If you need confirmation that SPINALL knows how to throw down, look no further than his lauded brand TheCAP. Named for the signature Yoruba cap he always wears, it also doubles as an acronym for Crazy Ass Party, a common phrase uttered by fans after leaving a SPINALL set. TheCAP has remained a sign of musical excellence for over a decade and has become a global event series and record label.






Initially rising to prominence on Nigerian national radio in 2004, SPINALL is a jack of all trades in the music industry. As a producer, he's continually risen the ranks with each of his five albums. His breakthrough third album, Dreams, dropped in 2017 on TheCAP Music. It boldly declared his powerhouse status in Nigeria and beyond, featuring many of the most notable afrobeat artists, including Wizkid, Mr Eazi, Davido, Wande Coal, and Olamide.




Dreams catapulted him to international acclaim. In 2017 he was the official DJ for the BET International Awards, and embarked on a worldwide tour that took him from South Africa to London and the United States, where he was the first African DJ to perform at SXSW in Austin, Texas. He's continued to dominate the global festival scene with bookings at Coachella, Glastonbury, and recently opening for Bruno Mars in Sydney. His influence is so powerful that Harvard Business School invited him to speak at the 26th Annual Africa Accelerated Conference.

His latest album, TOP BOY, was released in February and features a plethora of superstar collaborators such as 6LACK, Tay Iwar, and DJ Snake. It's yet another example of the diversity and reach of SPINALL's unique and compelling sound. With over 50M streams, it's a runaway hit, as evidenced by his recent headlining performance of "Power" at the 2022 MTV EMAs in Germany.


As the global impact of Afrobeat continues, it's a pleasure to bring one of Nigeria's foremost talents in the genre to The Roof at Superior Ingredients.

We're excited to announce our very first 2023 Summer show, and it's with none other than one of our day ones—our brother Will Clarke, and he's bringing some special guests along for a seven-hour journey at the historic Knockdown Center. The massive venue's open-air space, The Ruins, are the perfect locale to bask in that beautiful New York summer glow, while soaking up the sounds of Will's funky techno.









Over the last several years, Clarke has firmly established a trademark sound within the techno realm. Warehouse rattling funk with a touch of rave. A fan of dance music since before he was a teenager and a Dj for almost as long, Will Clarke has been in more clubs than one could count. Yet, he hopes to build a bridge to take dance music beyond the club. He told Gray Area, “I think the thing with dance music is that a lot of the time, it’s just for the club. And that’s absolutely fine. I think clubs have a real important place in our lives. But I think there’s actually more to [dance] music than just the clubs. I'm trying to write songs that have a bit of a meaning.”



While Will could have looked at the pandemic as a break from the rampant release schedules and revolving tour diaries, he pressed on working harder than ever to continue his mission of bringing something of meaning to the world. He created the Will Clarke Podcast. A favorite amongst industry heads and fans, it's a platform for Will to engage in long-form conversations with dance music favorites and those on the come up. Guests like MK, Chris Lake, Kevin Saunderson, HoneyLuv, Sam Divine, Duke Dumont, and Sohmi have all shared incredible and personal stories with Will. It's a testament to his skills as a brilliant communicator on and off the dancefloor.







Started shortly before the pandemic, his Beatport Top 100 best-selling label, All We Have is Now, continues to flourish. It has emerged as one of the genre's most sought-after imprints, with artists like Shermanology, MK, Matt Sassari, and Avision sharing space on the diverse roster. The label's releases prove dancefloors can be moved with purpose and intention. His own releases on the label, like "Hallelujah," featuring the incomparable voice of Candi Stanton, are the most heavily supported tracks of his career. And they signify that his audience fully supports his vision.



That's not to say Will has blinders on. On the contrary, his hectic touring schedule has taken him around the world several times over the last two years. From Chicago to Ibiza, the UK to Miami, Will is dropping heat at some of the best clubs and most notable festivals in the world, including Club Space, ADE, Amnesia, DC-10 for Patrick Topping's Trick, Electric Zoo, and Movement Detroit.





We're excited to host the next step in Will's creative evolution as he steps out front to bring his unique slant on techno and his expert curation to a very special headlining experience.

Will has hand selected a fantastic selection of artists to help lead this seven-hour journey through house and techno. Since 2007 Tuscany-born, Barcelona-based Marco Faraone has been blasting the system with his explosive blend of peak-hour techno and house music. In 2022 not only did he blaze up the Ibiza season with a string of monumental performances on Amnesia's legendary Terrace, he completely changed the game as a producer. With blistering releases on Defected, Filth on Acid, Drumcode, and his own UNCAGE imprint, he's quickly moved from promising up-and-comer to one of the most recognized names in underground dance.



Filling out the bill is New York clubland staple Dalton Taylor. His performances at Avant Garnder, Le Bain, and Elsewhere (among others) fuse the sounds of classic dance with new school sensibilities. We loved his sets when he played for us, previously opening for Archie Hamilton and Will Clarke, and can't wait to see how get's things going this time around.

Summer is shaping up to be a hot one. We're dropping yet another open-air in New York in 2023, this time with Basement Leak founder and Dirtybird regular Shiba San. It's all going down on June 16th in spacious The Ruins at The Knockdown Center, a brilliant and vibrant open-air venue, perfectly suited for a day with incomparable Shiba San. 



Ever since the release of his 2014 hit "Okay," Shiba San's womping low-end beats have maintained a firm grip over the house music scene. Upon its release, Rolling Stone hailed it a "global club sensation in waiting." An apt description for a track that has become part of the dance music lexicon, still getting regular plays nearly a decade after its release.




And despite writing an undisputed house music anthem, Shiba San is far more than the hit that helped define the prevailing sound of house music for years to come. His nearly two dozen bangin' Beatport #1 singles on labels like Green Velvet's Relief, Dirtybird, Defected, Lee Foss's Repopulate Mars, and his tastemaking Basement Leak imprint have made him a sought-after producer, performer, and remixer. And yet, as ubiquitous as his slithery sexy take on house music has become, he remains an enigma, preferring to let the music do the talking, remaining one of dance music's most celebrated artists.



Long before he became a house music heavyweight, Shiba established the imitable DJ skills that keep him in demand at festivals and club dates worldwide. Before writing "Okay," he spent 15 years in France's hip-hop scene. And for those in the know, the best DJ talent comes from those who have seamlessly crossed genre boundaries.




As a label owner, Shiba has made some of his most significant impact. Since 2017 he's helped break artists like Black V Neck while releasing chart-topping bangers from Gettoblaster and fellow Parisian beat swindler, Tchami.



The support lineup for this one is just as exciting as the headliner. We've lined up some seriously exciting acts, who are helping reshape the future of house music.



Multi-talented producer, DJ, vocalist, and label head Nala has wowed the world of electronic music with a blend of influences ranging from house and punk rock to electro and breaks paired with her "Riot Grrrl-style" vocals. As a central producer and artistic driver in the ever-evolving North American tech house scene, Nala's resume overflows with accolades and accomplishments.

Peruvian-born, Miami-based Nautik is a Basement Leak resident on the rise! He burst onto the scene with "Work That" and followed it up with a collab with Shiba San, the Drop That Shhh EP, and was part of Chris Lake's coveted Black Book IDs series. After crushing the speakers at Space Miami, Sound LA, and Elsewhere in New York, we are excited to have him at the Knockdown Center.




New York-based emerging producer and DJ Dexx is a fresh face on the house music scene. His style draws from a range of influences, and he hopes to impart that to his future productions. Come early to catch his set, and you may get a sneaky preview of his upcoming release, "I Like It."




We're excited to bring Shiba back to New York. His last show with us in 2022 was a sell-out success. It became a day-to-night affair with his Basement Leak homies taking over Superior Ingredients for 12 hours. You won't want to miss Shiba San putting in work on the decks this summer.

South African DJ and producer Kyle Watson is in a class of his own. His sound brims with throbbing, low-end basslines and off-kilter, funky sound design; no one does it as he does. It's been over a year since we were last blown away by one of his incredible DJ sets, and Gray Area is excited to welcome Kyle back to Brooklyn on June 18 on The Roof at Superior Ingredients alongside Truth x Lies.

Kyle rotates in his own sphere. His ability to effortlessly occupy a space between ass-shakin' tech house and sweltering bass house, with deep, soulful, and nostalgic notes, has turned heads and made him a regular on esteemed labels like Dirtybird, Armada, hau5trap, Insomniac, This Ain't Bristol, and of course his own tastemaking Box Of Cats imprint.

Watson's genre-defying music has created ground-shaking moments in house. His debut album, Into The Morning, was a masterpiece, blending sweeping melodics with raw, gritty basslines. It boldly declared that Kyle Watson's sound, while often replicated, could not be duplicated. He's continued to produce critically acclaimed music like "Magic Carpet," and "The Reason," earning him widespread support from the likes of Diplo, Chris Lake, and Gorgon City —all of whom have released his music on their industry-leading record labels.




One of South Africa's most potent exports, Kyle's reach extends thousands of miles beyond his native shores. He's sold-out shows, headlined tours, and left festival-goers dumbfounded from London to Sydney. Whether performing for packed crowds in the Yuma at Coachella, the iconic Brooklyn Mirage, or the premiere West Coast dance festival CRSSD, he always keeps dancers on their toes with a bag full of forward-thinking, sub-shattering beats.

To help prime the dancefloor for Kyle, we've invited New York's Truth X Lies to the decks. For nearly a decade, Ian Bertles and Ryan Howard have been serving their wonky body-moving beats. The boys have a fierce catalog of solid grooves that have seen release on labels like Insomniac, Matroda's Terminal Underground, hau5trap, Dirtybird, and more.




With Kyle's return to New York, he will once again energize the dancefloor and set off the summer season in a way only he can. We can't think of a better way to celebrate his return than an epic rooftop jam, a technicolor Manhattan sunset, and a dancefloor packed with our Gray Area family.





















Kyle Watson Open Air with Truth x Lies

On June 23, Amsterdam-based producer and DJ Patrice Bäumel brings his ethereal and entrancing melodic techno sound to The Roof of Superior Ingredients. As we celebrate the solstice, the magic of Bäumel's winding selections will provide the sonic canvas to paint a picture-perfect sunset
after an extended summer day.

Bäumel has molded a storied dance music career spanning nearly two decades. Celebrated for music that's as intelligent and emotional as it is groove-inducing and dancefloor-forward, his reputation for crafting chart-topping hits has earned him releases on lauded labels like Afterlife, Global Underground, Bedrock, Anjunadeep, and Kompact. The son of a music journalist, he was always enamored with alternative and eclectic sounds. He never intended to make a career in music. But a fierce love for the dance music scene, his deliciously strange 2008 release "Roar" becoming an Ibiza anthem, and a residency at Amsterdam's (now shuttered) legendary club Trouw transformed him into an international sensation.



Patrice is just as thoughtful and introspective as his music. These personality traits help inform a uniquely reflective sound focused on expanding the possibilities of performance and production. He's come to realize his humble role as a creator is to unify the dancefloor with joyous experiences while exposing fans and followers to the thrill of radical sonic art.



He's set to make a rare appearance in New York for a summer season opener at the iconic 74 Wythe Avenue, Superior Ingredients (formerly Output). The venue has played a prominent role in reimagining and revitalizing the neighborhood's burgeoning dance music scene. It blends the best elements of premium hospitality, intimate nightlife experiences, and mega-club culture. Superior Ingredients is a preeminent domestic dance music destination.



The Roof is Superior Ingredients' crown jewel. Its Euro-Ibiza, big club vibe is tropical, effervescent, and joyful. Revered DJ and producer Archie Hamilton has blessed the decks and rocked the speakers for us on several occasions. Last year's extended set at Quantum Brooklyn was a chef's kiss, the kind of set that you won't soon forget. The master of soulful grooves, deep techy basslines, and crispy drums returns to New York on June 23 in The Room at Superior Ingredients, formerly Output, for yet another unmissable performance.

The London-based artist has spent over a decade curating a signature sound that combines the soul of classic house, the rhythmic spice of UK garage, and the weight of his signature rugged basslines.



An early champion of the minimal and deep tech movement, Archie's expert ear and dynamic curation has made his label Microhertz an industry tastemaker. Besides dropping records on his label, his catalog runs deep with incredible releases on PIV, Dirtybird, Toolroom, and Cuttin' Headz. In April 2023, he makes his debut on Defected with "Let The Light In." A departure from the stripped-back minimal sound he's pulling from his well of influence to explore classic vocal-led house.



Outside of the studio, Archie is a DJs, DJ. His abilities on the decks are well documented, and he possesses the skill to turn any room, large or small, into a heaving, sweaty mess, in the best way possible. He's a fixture of the global festival circuit with performances at Glastonbury, Awakenings, Music On, SXM, and most recently, closing out Miami Music Week for John Summit's epic Off The Grid party and the legendary Space Miami Terrace. Archie is also a longtime fixture of Ibiza's most iconic clubs like DC-10, Amnesia, Cova Santa, and Pacha.



Early in 2022, he launched his dynamic event brand Frequency. In collaboration with the multimedia studio Immersive Me, Archie created a captivating visual spectacular with an ominous glowing head suspended at its centerpiece.

Archie Hamilton has emerged over the years as one of house music's most respected artists. And it hasn't gone unnoticed. In 2020, Pete Tong tapped him to join the annals of dance music history with an Essential Mix. Archie is returning to Radio 1 in 2023, dropping a Club Heat Mix on Pete Tong's show.



Warming things up for Archie's epic three-hour set is one of North America's fastest-rising talents, Ranger Trucco. In 2020 he stunned the scene with a string of crispy fresh records led by his effortless lyricism. He was quickly picked up by the likes of Night Bass and Space Yacht and was asked to remix for Elohim and collaborate with Westend. His blend of tongue-in-cheek vocals and summery funky tech house has made him a favorite of Diplo, AC Slater, Solardo, and Pete Tong.

TSHA's passionate push to reclaim the days of the rave and reimagine them for the modern dancefloor has made the Londoner one of the most fascinating and celebrated rising stars in recent memory. We're beyond excited to welcome her to The Roof of Superior Ingredients on June 24 for a brilliant open-air celebration of house, breaks, rave, and the first days of a fabulous summer season.


QRTR, RINAS, purp, and Toribio take the stage as support acts for this edition of BLUE. QRTR, a celebrated DJ and producer, will transport you with her hypnotic live set, bridging the gap between arthouse film composition and electrifying basement rave. RINAS, the queer duo hailing from Orlando, is known for their electrifying performances, traveling through genres and timelines to create an inviting and inclusive dance floor. PURP, the responsibly reckless renaissance woman from Delaware, brings a unique blend of real club music to the NYC underground, leaving an indelible mark with her vibrant DJ sets and curated events. Finally, Toribio, affectionately known as "Papi" in the scene, will sway your soul and move your body with his unique blend of house music infused with Dominican roots and jazz undertones. Early in TSHA's rise, the multi-hyphenate producer, DJ, radio host, and mental health advocate was hailed by Mixmag, NME, and DJ Mag as "one to watch." Her 2019 EP Moonlight was a breath of fresh air that explored moody ambient textures, pop-leaning structures, and a clear focus on maintaining a sophisticated underground approach. Her 2021 debut album Capricorn Sun was authentic, emotional, and relatable, and it further confirmed her status as a singular artist with Pitchfork saying, "The UK producer casually throws house, UK garage, R&B, pop, and breakbeats into varied songs that are as emotionally relatable as they are instinctively danceable."




The eyes of the industry have been firmly focused on TSHA over the last few years, with fans and DJs alike singing her praises. A solid member of the lauded Ninja Tune family, she's also released on Diplo's Mad Decent and Higher Ground. In addition, her remixes for Foals, Throwing Snow, Qrion, and Prospa prove her ability to flip even the most timeless music into an absolute treasure. Her most recent release with Aluna, "Killing Me," was named "Hottest Record In The World" by BBC Radio 1's Danny Howard.




Despite calling herself an introvert, her radiant energy shines from her glowing smile and perpetual movement on stage. And dancers across the planet have flocked to her DJ sets as she's risen from perpetual opener to headline status. In the last year alone, she's rocked Coachella's Yuma tent, held residency at Ibiza's famed Circoloco at DC10, and played Glastonbury, Sónar, Parklife, and CRSSD. Her summer 2023 is only growing grander with upcoming appearances at Awakenings, Defected Croatia, and with the Gray Area fam on The Roof of Superior Ingredients in Brooklyn.




We've had our eye on TSHA for some time, and as her star continues to rise, opportunities to catch her in these more intimate environments will only be more rare. BLUE: TSHA, QRTR, and Guests

In March, we hosted our first 12-hour marathon with the indelible beat-serving band of dust-kicking miscreants, Desert Hearts. Their fearless leader, Mikey Lion, closed things out on The Roof in textbook fashion, dropping disco-tinged heaters, deep and soulful classics, and low-end fueled tech house. It was an absolute gas, so much so that we decided to bring the man with the best hats in house music back to headline. So, on June 24, we’re going late into the night with the one-and-only Mikey Lion at Manhattan’s newest megaclub, MUSICA.



Mikey’s positive energy and penchant for good vibes house music are a blessing to dance music culture. Maybe it’s because he always carries the wide-eyed memory of his first immersive house music experience. He fell in love with the rave during Daft Punk’s historic Pyramid unveiling at Coachella 2006. Or maybe it’s because he’s been soaking up DJ culture since buying his first turntables at age 14. Whatever the reason, Mikey’s joyous DJ sets and dusty funky beats have put him at the forefront of a family of thousands that proudly follow the Desert Hearts motto of “House, Techno, Love.”

In 2012 he co-founded Desert Hearts, a party crew that grew from throwing renegade bacchanals deep in the Mojave Desert to a global movement that encompasses its annual campout, a laundry list of sweaty club shows around the world, and two record labels: Desert Hearts Records and Desert Hearts Black.



For Mikey, it’s 100% about the love of community and making the world more positive through house music. It’s an ethos that shines through in his catalog of psychedelic beats and basslines. From the transcendent and introspective “Through The Fog” (with Justin Martin) to the syncopated acid madness of “This Is The Beat,” Mikey proves that he’s an industry leader in philosophy and sound.



Mikey is fresh off a slew of landmark gigs, including rocking the infamous DoLab stage at Coachella for weekend two (a full circle moment considering where his roots lie) and dropping a set for John Summit’s Off The Grid at The Caverns. We’re excited to have him back in New York for what’s guaranteed to be a memorable night of funky grooves and booty-shaking moves.

This June, the innovative BLUE event series returns to the rooftop of Superior Ingredients, bringing together a phenomenal lineup headlined by Elkka, alongside XOXA resident Heidi P. Our signature BLUE events, celebrated for their exploration of the melodic dimensions of house music, promise another mesmerizing musical journey on June 29.




At the forefront of this transcendent experience is Elkka, the London-based DJ/producer whose eclectic sound traverses classic house, breakbeat, disco, UK bass, and leftfield techno. Elkka's acclaim reached another high when she was selected for the esteemed DJ-Kicks mix series by !K7 Records in 2023, a milestone that testifies to her creativity and skill as a DJ. The mix, embodying Elkka's euphoric and diverse style, is a sonic journey that perfectly encapsulates her musical ethos, making it another career-defining accomplishment.

Known for her sets at NYC hotspots like Elsewhere, House of Yes, and The Lot Radio, Heidi P's infectious energy will be an invaluable addition to our event.

Elkka's euphoric blend of classic house, breakbeat, disco, UK bass, and leftfield techno has sparked joy on dancefloors worldwide and landed in the record crates of esteemed artists like Four Tet, LP Giobbi, Annie Nightengale, Ben UFO, and Pete Tong. Her flawless transition from singer-songwriter (with vocal credits on labels like Mad Decent, Armada, and OWSLA) to producer and live performer brought her a library of releases that span the spectrum from the storming minimal "I.Miss.Raving" and her uplifting UKG-tinged collab with TSHA "Harmonic Frequencies" to her debut EP HER released on her own Femme Culture imprint.










We've asked Heidi P and Honey B from Brooklyn-based queer collective XOXA (pronounced ex-oh-ex-ay) to join the fun. They say their mission "is to provide a supportive platform for women and LGBTQ+ artists to perform while creating an intentional party space for everyone that prioritizes women, non-binary and trans individuals."









Montreal-born DJ Heidy P's uplifting vocal house and disco is the perfect soundtrack for a day spent on Superior Ingredients' incredible rooftop. A regular at NYC hotspots like Elsewhere, House of Yes, and The Lot Radio, we're excited to have her.









Flawlessly blending elements of breaks, house, and UK garage, Honey B is the perfect addition to match Elkka's eclectic style. Also a budding producer, her beats are just as diverse as her DJ sets, spanning rave-ready techno, house, and D&B. Beyond the dancefloor, Honey B is an accomplished commercial music producer and video editor with credits including Stella Artois, iHeartRadio, and Budweiser.

Those lucky enough to see a set from DJ Sneak know they’re witnessing a master at work. We here at Gray Area are honored to welcome DJ Sneak to our home field of New York City this summer. As a true dance music legend, Sneak is known worldwide for his brilliantly crafted, floor-stomping tracks. Join us July 8, on The Roof at Superior Ingredients, for a hearty helping of Chicago house set against the breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline.





Before Sneak was a worldwide influence, he was a product of the second wave of Chicago powerhouse producers. After his family immigrated to the States from Puerto Rico in the 80s, he immediately took to local music. Since English wasn’t his first language, he felt innately drawn to instrumental music. Namely, house music. In 1996, he released his breakthrough album, Blue Funk Files, on Green Velvet’s notable Relief Records. And the whole world began to listen.




His musical approach was somehow both classic and innovative. He unabashedly injected house music with his classic filtered disco sound and splash of Latin flair. In this way, he would go on to influence some of the biggest stars in house music. Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx, and Armand Van Helden have all outwardly revered him as a significant inspiration. It wouldn’t be an overstatement to say Sneak’s contribution to the scene has been immense.



He’s long been a staple in Ibiza and the worldwide festival and club circuit. Recently, he’s also impressively taken total creative control of himself as an artist. He fully owns his past masters and meticulously curates his performance schedule. So, when given a chance, you don’t want to miss the opportunity to see a true legend command the dancefloor.



It's only proper that we pair Sneak with another artist who has reached a status in house music few can claim. Darius Syrossian is a longtime stalwart of the UK scene, helming curation for record shops in the 90s, and dropping proper house music on Hot Creations, Defected, Crosstown Rebels, and his own Moxy Muzik since 2004. He's embedded in global club culture just as much as in the UK, holding down residencies at Amnesia Ibiza while smashing nearly every major club and festival system several times over. A DJ and curator of the truest sense, he's a celebrated artist who can cross the spectrum from deep to funky and disco to techno and back again, all without missing a beat.



So join us under a balmy summer sunset at Superior Ingredients and dance the night away with some straight-up house and two of dance music’s most iconic figures, DJ Sneak and Darius Syrossian.

On July 20, The Roof of Superior Ingredients is the spot to kick off the summer season with a set from the enigmatic duo €URO TRA$H. Better known in bass music circles as two of the biggest names in contemporary dance music, Yellow Claw, their cheeky, party-loving, house-pumping side project takes all the hedonistic fun of their trap sets, and rolls it into a booty shankin', low-end thumping tech house package.

Under their new alias, the duo steps away from their signature heavy headbangin' business for something with a bit more groove and funk. €URO TRA$H first surfaced with the sleazy techno banger "Trust You," a collaboration with fellow Barong Family homies Psycho Boys Club in 2021. The duo spent the summer of that year locked in a massive Bali villa dubbed Hotel Barong, creating new music that spanned poolside house music, shuffle-inducing tech house, and warehouse-rattling techno. At the time, they told Mixmag Asia, "This is a special project we have been working on for quite a while now really taking us back to the origin of the rave."




They made their live debut at EDC Vegas last year with a surprise art car set, completely blowing away thousands of stunned ravers aboard the Rynobus.




Their debut album ¥€$ dropped in February of this year, featuring the legendary vocals of Kathy Brown on "Everything Tonight," a collab with Wax Motif on "So Hypnotic," and 11 other hip-shaking and sultry house bangers.



The name is an irreverent play on a slang term for wealthy Europeans, and they played directly into the aesthetic with a cultured and refined YouTube video late in 2022 entitled, The art of €URO TRA$H. While the boys groove, bop, and sip champagne in Victorian-era garb, they present an air of mock sophistication that is a sharp and hilarious juxtaposition to the vocal samples in their tracks, calling the dancefloor to shake asses and pop...body parts.




The boys have crafted the perfect alter ego for the moment as house music continues to reign supreme. Their grungy bass-forward rhythms are a fitting soundtrack for an evening of rooftop vibes high above Brooklyn as the sun sets behind the Manhattan skyline. So come through and celebrate the start of summer with €URO TRA$H.

It seems like ages since we danced together under the blast of a confetti cannon. This is the longest we’ve ever waited for the return of the wildest party in the world to touch back down in New York. And if we’re being honest, we are hungry for a night of technicolor madness, larger-than-life decorations, and a hailstorm of inflatables—it’s been too long! We’re excited to announce that the wait is nearly over. elrow will make its triumphant return to Brooklyn on July 22nd, 2023.



While elrow is all about the experience, the music is always second-to-none. For this year's summer festival, we've lined up a mix of stellar solo and B2B sets from some of dance music's most incredible talent. It's a cornucopia of house music sounds!



Dance to the joyous hands-up beats of Dombresky, spicy tech house heaters from Francisco Allendes and Igelsias, legendary deep house from Kerri Chandler, and the indie-laced house and live vocals of Dirtybird's Nala. Matroda will bring his trademark Matrodasound to elrow for the first time, and Gray Area favorites Manda Moor, Luna Mar, Local Singles, and Cormac will also be in the building. And how could we forget the always-energetic Tini Gessler?!



We've got four exciting B2B sets lined up that will match the energy of the hourly confetti blasts. Dutch powerhouse Mau P is dropping the heat for the first time alongside tech house innovator Detlef. The incomparable Paul Woolford matches up with Ibiza favorite Marco Faraone, PIV frontman Prunk is going head-to-head with Cuttin' Headz signee Fleur Shore, and UK legend Seb Zito is going b2b with minimal tech mastermind Luuk van Dijk.



New York's favorite absurd and fun-loving two-stage mini-festival is plunging the Brooklyn Mirage through the interstellar gateway into a New World where the line between space and time gets blurry. It's a wacky time-traveling expedition that's gone a bit pear-shaped, causing the past, present, and future to exist all at once. It's everything you love about elrow, surreal, extraordinary, a little bit screwy, with just a touch of the wonderfully ludicrous. It's a wild gathering of technicolor sites and future nostalgic sounds.



Dance the night and morning away in the shadow of the Stargate and a giant phoenix. Trust us, you won’t want to go home until the last record spins as the sun peaks over the horizon.





THE LINEUP



Detlef's tight-knit basslines and undeniable grooves on his 2017 single "Swagon," captivated dancers around the world. The Greek tech house titan's tracks are the kind that ignite the dancefloor, and he's laced the groove for some of the longest-standing labels in the history of dance music, like Relief, Hot Creations, Viva Music, and Toolroom. Whether the night is heading into peak time or chilling out for sunrise, Detlef always provides that perfect shift in the tide.






Over the last few years, Dombresky has easily become one of Gray Area's most beloved artists. His sets are always a satisfying mix of joyous hands-up moments, disco-tinged synths, and big basslines. From his more bass-forward early days to his recent work as a purveyor of bright and buoyant vocal-led house, he always succeeds at making crowds completely lose it in the beat.

In 2020 Birmingham, UK talent Fleur Shore emerged with a stack of tracks that brimmed with funkdafied basslines, scintillating vocals, and drenched in notes of nostalgia for bygone nights at the club. In just two years, she quickly gained steam with releases on Cuttin Headz, a Beatport #1, and a slew of high-profile gigs like Warehouse Project, fabric, Ushuaia, and now The Brooklyn Mirage.



Francisco Allendes describes his music as retro-futuristic Martian groove—a definition without constraint. The Ibiza-based DJ and producer is widely known for his hits on Cadenza, KMS, Sola, Snatch, Mood, and Crosstown Rebels. However, he's just as potent as a performer. A resident of Ushuaia Ibiza's legendary ANTS, he's also brought the house down at festivals like Tomorrowland and BPM, plus events in his homeland of Chile like Dreambeach, Creamfields, Awakenings, Mysteryland, and Love Parade.






Between performing globally at hotspots like Egg London and Hi Ibiza, releasing on labels like Paco Osuna's Mindshake Records, and running Woodlands Studio, where he works with the likes of Max Chapman, Latmun, and Detlef, UK talent Iglesias has built quite a brand for himself. All the while, he's remained dedicated to artistic integrity and put the music above all else.

When you have the opportunity to experience a house legend like Kerri Chandler, you take it. Kerri Chandler is house, and all are welcome to lose themselves to his delightful, soulful, intricate, uplifting grooves. He's considered one of the godfathers of deep house and, quite fittingly, the "Stevie Wonder of house music." Find one Kerri Chandler track that ain't timeless!






Yet another Gray Area favorite, Local Singles, got us in the groove for elrow Summer Festival in 2022 and have heated up the dancefloor for us on several occasions. They lit up the summer of 2022 with their edit of Disclosure and Flume's "You & Me," with Westend. And proving they have plenty of tricks up their sleeves, the cheeky duo have forthcoming releases on some of the hottest labels in the game, including South of Saturn, Night Service Only, Techne, and Toolroom.






Luna Mar isn't just a Gray Area resident, she's fast becoming one of New York's most trusted and sought-after DJs. She's continually blown us away with her intelligent selections, ability to captivate a dancefloor, and positive, uplifting vibes. Whether she's warming up the speakers for artists like Todd Terry, Roger Sanchez, and Cloonee or dropping the beats for festivals like Electric Zoo, she does it with style, grace, and rhythm.






One of the hottest names in minimal and deep tech, Amsterdam's Luuk van Dijk has spent the better part of the last five years in the Beatport top 100 with releases on Cuttin' Headz, Hottrax, and his own Dark Side Of The Sun. His formidable basslines and crispy beats have made him a crowd favorite at Awakenings, Paradise, elrow, and, more recently, the epic Factory Town MMW closing party for Eastenderz.









Manda Moor's infectious determination seeps into her bouncy yet sophisticated tracks. Her relentless drive has landed her international gigs in some of the most acclaimed house and techno spaces, particularly in Ibiza and the UK. And her tracks have been released on acclaimed labels like Tamango Records, Hot Creations, and her own Mood Child Records, the label she runs with partner Sirus Hood.






Few artists in dance music have set themselves apart from the crowd so much that their sound has become synonymous with their name. The Matrodasound is an example of capturing that unique spirit. Bass forward, rhythmic, glitchy, and fully fun as hell, Matroda's records are memorable and impossible not to cut a rug to. We've been lucky enough to snag him for a few New York shows, and we're excited for him to make his elrow New York debut with us this summer.



Since 2007 Tuscany-born, Barcelona-based Marco Faraone has been blasting the system with his explosive blend of peak-hour techno and house music. In 2022 not only did he blaze up the Ibiza season with a string of monumental performances on Amnesia's legendary Terrace, he completely changed the game as a producer. With blistering releases on Defected, Filth on Acid, Drumcode, and his own UNCAGE imprint, he's quickly moved from promising up-and-comer to one of the most recognized names in underground dance.




We're all intimately familiar with Mau P's breakthrough hit "Drugs From Amsterdam." It was the ID of the summer of 2022 and perfectly encapsulates the kind of summer debauchery we are also intimately familiar with. His follow-up, "Gimme That Bounce," proved he was no one trick pony. And with a career in dance that dates back to his big room days as Maurice West, it's clear that Mau has no intention of slowing down.






Miami-born, LA-based DJ, producer, and vocalist Nala emerged from the pandemic as one of Dirtybird's most potent and poised voices. She struck a chord with an aesthetic that fuses indie rock and underground dance with an electric stage presence. Her brilliantly poetic lyrics are a breath of fresh air in a world flush with banal party tech. And her upfront delivery conjures the spirit of Blondie in the heyday of CBGB.






British producer and DJ Paul Woolford has proven over and over again that he's capable of multitudes. From his more challenging soundscapes as Special Request to the more club-leaning beats he produces under his given name, Woolford never disappoints. He's equally comfortable rehashing 90's classics like in his 2022 collaboration with Pessto, "Can You Pay?" as he is working alongside Diplo on uplifting piano house jams like "Looking For Me."






Acclaimed producer Prunk was pivotal in pushing the minimal tech sound to the forefront of dance music. The founder of the taste-making label, PIV, he's also released original tunes on esteemed labels such as Defected Records, Do Not Sleep, and Moulton Music. He has a sound inextricably linked to Chicago and a mission to build a deeper and broader global community rooted in the love of soulful, authentic house.






A verified legend of the London scene, Seb Zito's career dates back to the mid-nineties. His sound touches everything from garage to tech house, bassline to deep and soulful, all without a trace of pretension. A raver at heart, he forms deep connections with every dancefloor he blesses, from his residency at London's FUSE to the hallowed speaker stacks of Amnesia Ibiza and the marathon nights of Miami's Space.






German-born, Spanish-based elrow resident, Tini Gessler had a massive 2022. Besides storming the globe with the wildest party on the planet, she's dropped spicy percussion-laden groovers across revered labels like Solardo's Sola, Toolroom, and Rawthentic. She started 2023 with a bang by debuting on Drumcode with "Nothing Expected." Tini always brings the heat to the decks.

On July 23, Italian minimal tech maestro Yaya takes over the spectacular Superior Ingredients rooftop, bringing the sound of his chart-topping Tamango Records for a New York debut. As you take in all of the summer splendor of Brooklyn’s premier rooftop club, be ready to dance the day and evening away to the sparkling, percussive, Afro-Latin-infused sounds of Italy’s one-and-only Yaya.








After rising to the top of the minimal and deep tech scene, Yaya started his tastemaking Tamango Records label in 2016 as a home for his stunning dancefloor heaters. Now a leader in the genre, Tamango is (at writing) one of the best-selling minimal/deep tech labels on Beatport, boasting releases from Luuk Van Dijk, Fleur Shore, Mason Collective, Loco Dice, Enzo Siragusa, Cuartero, Cassy, and Manda Moor. Tamango is an ideal extension of Yaya’s mission to create music that brings joy and light to the dancefloor. And after successfully taking Tamango’s emerging events beyond Europe to South America and Canada in 2022, Yaya is touching down in New York with some of his incredible Tamango label mates.




Yaya’s indelible sound fuses his African roots with infectiously danceable basslines and beats. On August 4, we welcome viral tech house sensation AYYBO to The Roof of Superior Ingredients. The young Anaheim, California-based producer's hip-shaking low-end fueled beats will make the perfect soundtrack for an evening spent beneath the sky at Brooklyn's premiere rooftop lounge. Summer nights were made for dancing, and AYYBO will undoubtedly get those feet shuffling.

AYYBO's first release dropped just over a year ago, and in that short time, he's created an impressive presence in the dance music scene. Quickly approaching one million monthly listeners on Spotify, his groove-laden infectious music has garnered tens of millions of streams. "Hypnosis," far and away his biggest hit, catapulted him from underground sensation to popular radio with a club-ready remix from Pitbull. Yet even before being picked up by Mr 305, the original was a staple of international DJ sets, including plays by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, Dillon Francis, and Alison Wonderland.



He started his career under the alias Bonnema, crafting spicy, forward-thinking bass music. Always a fan of the groove, he switched gears in 2022 and dropped a series of impossibly funky bootlegs. His wild and energetic bass-forward sound captured the attention of Deadbeats founders, Zeds Dead, who thought he'd be perfect for their sub-label Altered States. Leveraging his background in cinematography, AYYBO weaved his music into enticing visual content—a compelling experience made for the TikTok era.

AYYBO's engaging and energetic personality and his dank and dynamic beats are a match made in heaven. The young producer/DJ's fresh and forward-thinking music is quickly becoming the sound of the moment.
