Overview
This summer, Ibiza's northern enclave Akasha hosts OFF BRAND, a fresh residency challenging the island's glitzy norms. Curated by Man Power, Ewan McVicar, and The Brothers Grim, this series of five Friday nights - spanning from May 23 to September 26 - offers an intimate, music-first experience that prioritizes community over commercialism.

OFF BRAND is a deliberate departure from the influencer-driven, VIP-centric events that have become commonplace. Man Power (Geoff Kirkwood), known for his grassroots initiatives like Are You Affiliated and labels Me Me Me and Cheap Thrills, emphasizes the importance of accessible, authentic clubbing. Ewan McVicar, with his roots in Ayrshire's local scene and success with the boutique festival Pavilion, shares this ethos. Together with The Brothers Grim, they aim to recreate the transformative power of underground dance culture.
Each event kicks off with a free pre-party at Las Dalias Café from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, featuring sets from local talents like The Brothers Grim and Andy Kidd. The main event unfolds within Akasha's 300-capacity space from 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM, where extended sets and a diverse lineup await. Confirmed artists for the season include Roman Flügel, Paramida, Budino, Heidi Lawden, Lex Wolf, Rosie, and Sound Metaphors, alongside residents Man Power and Ewan McVicar.

Akasha, nestled within the historic Las Dalias complex, provides the perfect backdrop for OFF BRAND. With its focus on connection and authenticity, the venue aligns seamlessly with the residency's mission to offer a genuine alternative to the island's mainstream offerings.
In a landscape often dominated by commercial interests, OFF BRAND stands out as a beacon for those seeking a return to the roots of club culture. By fostering a space where music and community take center stage, this residency invites attendees to experience the transformative power of the dance floor anew.
