Overview

Las Dalias, located in the northeast of Ibiza in San Carlos, has been home to one of the island's most popular hippy markets since 2005. Originally starting as a roadside bar in 1954, the authentic establishment has grown into a true island treasure.

Famous for its night markets, live entertainment, and a fine array of food and drink served day and night, Las Dalias really is a must visit for any Ibiza holidaymaker.

In 2021, the all-rounder establishment expanded its horizons, and Ibiza's newest nightclub, Akasha was born.

An institution for locals, residents, tourists, and music lovers, the all-inclusive Akasha is one of the only music venues on the island that remains open all year round.

Meaning either sky or sound in Sanskrit language, the concept of the club since its inception has been to generate a community spirit among the many people who visit, and it most certainly does with its intimate vibes and Boiler Room-esque feel.

The crowd that frequents Akasha is the most eclectic you’ll ever see at an Ibiza club. A whole range of ages, nationalities, and cultures come together in this musical melting pot, with its 'come as you are' ethos - there’s no dress code required. It’s all about the music and the experience.

The club itself is intimate, modern, minimalist in design, angular and concrete. The incredible lighting projections, and visuals only seek to enhance the musical journey that you are embarking on.

Creative director Igor Marijuán is at the helm of the Las Dalias project and has so far curated an amazing roster of events with his solid booking policy. Weekly residencies Ethereal, Namasté and Nido are extremely popular and other one-off events such as Sven Väth’s Catharsis send both the garden and the club to bursting point!

What stands out about Akasha is its exceptional sound system. Martin, the creator of the unique sound system in Akasha is said to have used Fibonacci's auric maths and sacred geometry principles to design the speakers.

Not only that, but by positioning the DJ booth smack bang in the middle of the dance floor, gives the club an immersive feel that simply cannot be replicated. The crowd doesn’t stand and dance in one direction, there’s a flow to the venue that you simply don’t get anywhere else.

With a capacity of only 300, this means that the more popular nights are quick to sell out. Our advice is to get there early or buy a ticket online if you want to guarantee your Akasha Ibiza experience.

Access to the club is from the Las Dalias gardens and restaurant, which is more often than not where the pre-party is taking place. It’s the perfect venue to spend all afternoon and evening, dancing under the Balearic sun before rolling through until the early hours.

What’s also amazing about Akasha is the fact that it opens throughout the Winter too, with many of the same residencies and parties, keeping the Ibiza community dancing.

It’s a club that cares about the people that are on the island all year round but also welcomes summer visitors with open arms. It can’t cater to mass tourism due to its size, so it hones in on quality - quality sound, quality lineups, and quality visuals.

Las Dalias has been the perfect hippy hangout for years now and the addition of Akasha (which, in true hippy fashion, was constructed using carbon-neutral km0 materials) has only elevated the space once more.

You really need to see it and experience it to believe it, and we believe that a trip to Ibiza would not be complete without a night at Akasha.
