Sven Väth, the legendary German DJ and techno pioneer, returns to Ibiza in 2025 with his latest residency, T.R.A.N.C.E, at the intimate Akasha club and the iconic Las Dalias venue. This new concept builds upon the success of his previous Catharsis residency, offering a deeper exploration into the transformative power of music.
The T.R.A.N.C.E residency is scheduled for select Thursdays throughout the summer, with events on May 29, July 3, August 7, September 4, and October 2. Each evening begins in the enchanting garden of Las Dalias at 6:00 PM, where Väth delivers an open-air set under the stars, accompanied by warm-up performances from long-time collaborator Maurizio Schmitz. As the night progresses, the party transitions indoors to Akasha at 11:00 PM, where Väth takes the decks for an extended club set, guiding attendees on a sonic journey until the early hours.
T.R.A.N.C.E stands for Transformation, Resonance, Ascendancy, Nature, Connection, and Ecstasy - elements that encapsulate the essence of Väth's musical philosophy. This residency aims to create a space where music serves as a catalyst for personal and collective transcendence, echoing the spiritual roots of Ibiza's club culture.
The choice of Las Dalias and Akasha as venues is significant. Las Dalias, established in 1954, has long been a hub for the island's bohemian community, while Akasha offers a modern, immersive clubbing experience with its state-of-the-art sound system and intimate setting. Together, they provide the perfect backdrop for Väth's visionary events.
This residency follows the acclaimed Catharsis series, which celebrated the release of Väth's first solo album in nearly two decades. Catharsis was lauded for its deep, emotive sets and the unique atmosphere it cultivated, solidifying Väth's status as a master of his craft.
