Overview
Located in San Rafael between San Antonio and Ibiza Town, Underground is a small-scale club tucked away in the shadows of island giants Privilege and Amnesia - an unassuming nightspot housed in a traditional Ibizan estate.
Featuring a sizeable outdoor terrace, the nightclub is split into a small bar room, a larger room with DJ booth and dance floor, and a lighting system equipped with ceiling to floor installations, in addition to projectors for displaying artistic photography on the walls and windows.
Offering an experience much more intimate than the island's super-clubs, Underground let's the music do the talking, with its line-ups often something worth shouting about, albeit quietly.
It is a club that remains somewhat under the radar and is mostly known to residents and locals, and the proper music fanatics.
The club is quite literally the definition of underground, with its music policy doing exactly what it says on the tin. Underground has invited the likes of FUSE residents, tINI and the Gang, Sven Väth and more to its DJ booth over the years.
Underground provides the perfect opportunity to have a unique party experience to anyone looking to party differently in Ibiza. The club stays away from the mainstream party hype and focuses on creating an authentic, indoor environment.
In accord with the no-frills surroundings of the club, what is offered on the menu card is also not hefty on one’s pocket. No drink is above €10, which means having fun on a budget is totally doable at this quirky venue.
Apart from social media channels, Underground does very little promotion, which can only be described as the key to its success, as it always ensures a unique, intimate vibe, and a great, clued-up crowd.
