Hailing from Peterborough, a town located north of London and east of Birmingham, ALISHA is an artist determined to make her mark in the realm of UK house music. While some naysayers may consider it detrimental for her to grow up outside of a major hub like London, her upbringing in a moderately out-of-the-way town has clearly permeated into her unique and intriguing take on four-on-the-floor grooves.

Known for her meticulous approach and sultry deep, rumbling basslines, ALISHA’s sound is both driving and hypnotic. Over the last few years, she has landed releases on the cream of the crop when it comes to house music labels. She’s staked her claim on Green Velvet’s Relief with the compilation single, “Trip,” featuring the type of seductive vocals that Velvet himself would be proud to reiterate. ALISHA’s music has garnered industry-wide support and heavy rotation on BBC Radio 1.

She has also been featured on three compilations for Mark Knight’s legendary Toolroom with equally drum-heavy and motion-centric cuts. On the first compilation, Toolroom Ibiza 2019, ALISHA partnered with Pirate Copy, with whom she has shared a lucrative musical relationship for years. She’s had multiple releases on Pirate Copy’s label, Kaluki Music, including “Infectious” and “What’s Your Name,” both of which honor her offbeat style while upholding the inimitable dancefloor reputation Kaluki has maintained since 2010.

ALISHA has performed at Jamie Jones’ Paradise at Amnesia, headlined sets at London’s 93 Feet East, and made her debut at major festivals like Creamfields and Glastonbury. Her rise has been nothing short of meteoric. She has also partnered with Pirate Copy for many impressive gigs, including a headlining set at London’s 93 Feet East. That’s not to say that she can’t hold her own on the decks, as she recently played an open-to-close set at the Manchester destination Joshua Brooks.

ALISHA has become a hot commodity in the European club circuit, most recently playing a sold-out show with Franky Rizardo at Mint Warehouse, followed by a sold-out ALISHA all-night-long show at The Loft in Manchester. Her summers are packed with gigs like Paradise Ibiza at Amnesia, ANTS at Ushuaia, elrow at Amnesia, and Eastenderz at Cova Santa, along with fall festivals like Creamfields.

Her sets are a blend of driving grooves and stripped-back percussion, creating an atmosphere that is both energetic and immersive. House music’s elite have endorsed ALISHA, and it won’t be long until the rest of the world does too as they inevitably discover her on her meteoric rise.
