Carlos Cid, known professionally as CID, is a GRAMMY-winning producer, world-touring DJ and label owner hailing from Queens, New York. 

Raised in a musical household, Cid's two older brothers, fans of classic rock, hip hop, and R&B, often set the backdrop of their shared living space with these diverse tunes. His family gatherings pulsated with the vibrant rhythms of salsa, merengue, and bachata, providing a joyous expression of their Spanish heritage. 

Amidst this sonic tapestry, the occasional pulse of Euro-dance music found its place, further broadening his musical landscape. Cid's passionate journey into music began at the tender age of 11, when he would commute miles just to browse through records at his favorite shop. Cid gravitated towards anything electronic, and in the seventh grade, he knew he wanted to be a Dj.

As he grew older, his avid curiosity led him to form connections with some of New York’s most esteemed DJs and subsequently guided him towards music production. His remarkable production skills caught the attention of industry giants, such as Cedric Gervais, Don Diablo, and Sharam, earning his stripes as a desired engineer and producer. With several releases under notable labels including Spinnin Records, Protocol Recordings, and Size X Records, he quickly became a distinguished producer.

Sweet Memories

Cid's relentless work ethic has earned him accolades from numerous artists, such as FISHER, Lee Foss, and Kaskade. He has risen to be one of the top-selling artists on Beatport, received two Grammy nominations, and gathered hundreds of millions of streams. His remarkable performance ability has taken him to the world's biggest festivals, including Coachella, EDC, and Tomorrowland.

His breakthrough came in 2013, when he won his first Grammy for his contribution to Cedric Gervais’ multiplatinum hit remix of Lana Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness”. His impressive discography consists of many breakout releases, including collaborations with Kaskade and features with Conrad Sewell and CeeLo Green.

In 2019, Cid founded Night Service Only, his independent label in partnership with Spinnin’ Records. The label focuses on delivering strictly club-centric music, showcasing his diverse talents as a label head and tastemaker.
