Overview

CRi is just one of many supremely talented artists hailing from the Great White north, otherwise known as Canada.

Cutting his teeth in the steadily expanding Montreal dance music scene after dropping out of college and teaching himself how to make music, CRi started his production career with strength and creativity back in 2016, putting out his first official releases on Young Art Records, the label owned and operated by LA’s own musical multi-hyphenate, TOKiMONSTA.

He made serious waves with his debut EP on Young Art, Tell Her, which featured the dreamy downtempo signal, “Why I Love You” that established his musical precision right out the gate.

He stayed with Young Art for another EP as well, entitled Someone Else, which included just as much musical exploration and innovation as its predecessor.

Soon after, CRi solidified his place in house and techno by contributing three tracks to the legendary imprint, Anjunadeep with the seventh edition of the Anjunadeep Explorations series.

Obviously, the team at Anjuna was floored by his abilities and quickly offered him his own solo EP, Initial, in 2019. With this release, he started getting the attention of two of the world’s top radio selectors: BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong and Annie Mac.

With this kind of success coming his way it was only natural he would remain with Anjunadeep for his debut LP, Juvenile.

Today in 2022, CRi remains an Anjunadeep faithful with his first single of the year, “Something About,” a relaxing rendition of house music that cruises along the four-on-the-floor landscape like a pontoon cutting through still water.

As a member of the Anjuna family, he is also a frequent booking on their events like their club tours and AGBT500 celebrations, all of which he has participated in this year.

But with his self-taught background, CRi has the potential to go anywhere he wants with his career if he sets his mind to it, and he is doing just that.
