Overview

De Sluwe Vos may translate to “The Sly Fox,” but his effect on the global dance music scene has been anything but sly. Thousands of fans have seen him out in the world doing his thing at revered events and venues like Lowlands, Pukkelpop, Glastonbury, Fuse, Ministry of Sound, DGTL, Sankeys, Awakenings, and Pollerwiesen.

His reach extends ever further via his record label, Patron, which has shared a sparse but consistent output of music since 2015 from well-regarded talents like Lewski and Ennio, but also De Sluwe Vos original productions which have been supported by the likes of Joy Orbison, Boddika, Bicep and numerous other tastemakers with a global platform.

The skills and abilities of De Sluwe Vos extend far beyond the repertoire of the standard DJ and producer. For the tour of his 2015 album Kontra, he hit the road with a full-fledged band, bringing the three-part, 15-track opus to life in the most authentic way possible.

Soon after that, he embarked on his ‘All Night Long Tour’ at the end of 2016 which was a love letter to his home country of the Netherlands. In one month, he hit eight different clubs around the country including  OOST in Groningen, Basis in Utrecht, Toffler in Rotterdam, and the now famed Amsterdam hotspot, Shelter.

It was a different club for him every Friday and Saturday in November, hustling out his seething melodies and cinematic soundscapes for his fellow Dutch dance music obsessives to enjoy.

De Sluwe Vos will always be able to return to his home base of The Netherlands, but his sights are set on the future. He recently released his first single of 2022 entitled “Subterranean Cloud” and he continues to evolve his performances, alternating from DJ sets, to band shows, to full modular setups which have led to his live album Live at Lowlands from 2019.
