Laidback Luke has spent more than two decades as one of dance music’s most respected DJs, producers, and mentors. A Dutch artist with roots in the early Dutch house movement, Luke built his name on raw club records, sharp technical mixing, and a sound that has always carried attitude, funk, and movement. Long before trends took over the wider dance world, he was helping shape the sound of modern house through records and sets that felt bold, rough around the edges, and built for real dance floors.

His story reaches far beyond his own releases. Laidback Luke has played an important role in the careers of artists including Avicii, Afrojack, Oliver Heldens, and Nicky Romero, offering guidance on production, creativity, health, and the mental side of life in music. That role as both artist and mentor has made him a rare figure in the scene, someone whose influence can be felt through his own catalog as well as through the next generation of artists he helped support.

After completing a 78 date CODE/RED world tour in 2025, Luke is entering a new chapter with CONTINUUM Tour 2026. The project marks a return to the gritty, unpredictable spirit that first defined his sound, bringing early Dutch house energy back into focus while moving through deeper house, loud club textures, bouncy rhythms, and indie club influence. It is a reset rooted in the same raw feeling that made his early work stand out, but shaped by the experience of an artist who has spent years reading rooms across the world.

Outside the booth, Laidback Luke is also a two time Kung Fu World Champion, a detail that reflects the focus and discipline he brings into every part of his work. His career has always balanced intensity with control, history with reinvention, and technical skill with a deep understanding of what makes a dance floor move.

Now, with CONTINUUM, Laidback Luke is reconnecting with the attitude, rhythm, and club spirit that first made him an icon. It is a new era for an artist who has never been afraid to strip things back, get louder, and return to the source.
