Overview

Mascolo is a French-American vocalist, guitarist, and producer whose music merges the structure of live instrumentation with the pulse of modern electronic production. Drawing on a background in classical guitar and years of multi-genre exploration, his work bridges organic performance and dancefloor energy in a way that has steadily positioned him at the intersection of live and electronic music culture.

Early in his musical development, Mascolo built his foundation around traditional guitar playing and songwriting, eventually expanding his scope to include electronic production, sampling, and vocal manipulation. His project blends original vocals—often re-sampled or pitch-shifted—with layered synths and dynamic percussion, resulting in a sound that pulls influence from artists like Caribou, Maribou State, and Darkside while maintaining a distinct point of view.

Mascolo’s career has included collaborations and live performances alongside a wide range of artists, including Rodriguez Jr., Busy P, ZHU, LP Giobbi, Carlita, and Jacob Banks. His live shows, which have evolved into a full-band format with Mascolo on guitar and vocals and Alberto Chapa on drums, have been featured at high-profile venues such as The Brooklyn Mirage, Mission Ballroom, The Fonda, and The Fox Theater in Oakland. His sets also scale to hybrid or DJ formats when needed, reflecting a flexible but consistently polished performance identity.

His debut EP Just Us, released on LP Giobbi’s Yes Yes Yes label, showcased the emotional core of his work—tracks like “Call,” “Pick Me Up,” and “Where You Been” introduced listeners to his fusion of raw vocals, layered soundscapes, and club-ready production. The project helped establish Mascolo as an artist who balances studio craftsmanship with live performance credibility.

Built on a foundation of musical training and cross-genre fluency, Mascolo’s trajectory continues to expand through live shows, collaborations, and forward-thinking releases that reflect both technical skill and emotional clarity.
