Heidy P

Heidy P, an accomplished Canadian-born DJ and music producer, has created a name for herself in the global house and techno music scene with her distinctive energy. Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, she found her calling in the vibrant and pulsating rhythms of Detroit's music scene across the border.

In 2000, eager to broaden her horizons, Heidy relocated to London where she started her career at Koobla Records. This experience proved invaluable when, in 2003, she joined the founding team of London's leading record shop, Phonica.

Heidy's career gained momentum in 2004 and reached a turning point in the summer of 2006, a period she fondly refers to as the "kick off" of her career. During this time, she found mentorship in the M.A.N.D.Y guys and DJ T, who helped her navigate her path in the music industry. Following a short stay in Berlin, Heidy's persistence and commitment to her craft led to a monumental opportunity in 2008.

She was invited to host her own BBC Radio 1's "In New DJs We Trust" show. This six-month contract was the springboard Heidy needed to secure a permanent spot at the network, where she continued to host the "Radio 1's Residency" on Thursday nights.

In 2009, inspired by her early adventures into the music scene, Heidy started the Jackathon events, a series of unforgettable musical experiences in various nightclubs across the world. She brought together some of the industry's most prominent names, including Richie Hawtin, Soul Clap, Solomun, Maceo Plex, Nicolas Jaar, and Derrick Carter, creating unforgettable memories.

Following the success of the Jackathon events, Heidy released a compilation album of the same name in 2011 on Get Physical, her original home label. The album was such a success that a sublabel, Heidy presents Jackathon Jams, was born. The first EP featured an all-female lineup, including Maya Jane Coles, Miss Kitten, and tINI, demonstrating that the Jackathon is about energy.

Whether she's performing to 25,000-person crowds in Latin America, making appearances at festivals like Exit, Global Gathering, Detroit's Movement, or holding her own Jackathon residencies in world-renowned clubs like Fabric in London or Watergate in Berlin, P is a force to be reckoned with. A determined and resilient artist, Heidy has fought for her place in the industry through relentless determination and dedication.

As she puts it, “Every achievement was because I gave 110% of myself, treated everyone with genuine kindness, and sacrificed things in my life that people take for granted.” It's no wonder that she continues to inspire and entertain audiences worldwide.
