Hitting the Right Notes: A Candid Chat with OMNOM

OMNOM, born and based in Los Angeles, California, has reshaped the contours of house music with his eclectic and idiosyncratic style since his notable debut in 2018. Distinguished by a blend of quirky vocals and powerful basslines, his approach quickly captured the attention of both audiences and seasoned industry giants like Claude VonStroke, Walker & Royce, and Justin Martin. His unique musical expression has been aptly described as a “whirlpool of weird,” setting him apart in a genre ripe with innovation.
His initial breakout track, "Fo Free," was an indication of his skill and set the stage for a series of successful releases on elite labels such as Dirtybird, Confession, and Insomniac Records. These tracks not only received widespread acclaim but also showcased his ability to blend unconventional sounds with rhythmic precision. OMNOM's music has consistently topped charts, with tracks like "Losing Control" reaching #1 on Beatport and attracting millions of streams across various platforms.

Collaborative efforts have also been a significant aspect of OMNOM's career. His work with Brisbane’s Odd Mob, including the hit track "Mind Awake, Body Asleep," which climbed to #3 on Beatport’s overall release charts, exemplifies his dynamic partnership potential. Their collective energy and creative synergy have brought fresh excitement to their live performances, which include memorable back-to-back sets at major events like John Summit’s sold-out show at BMO Stadium.

OMNOM has played the stages of some of the world’s most renowned music festivals, including EDC Las Vegas, Hangout Music Festival, Ubbi Dubbi Festival, Beyond Wonderland, and Electric Forest. Each performance is a showcase of his ability to connect with the crowd through a magnetic mix of beats and an immersive audio-visual experience.

His influence extends beyond live shows and recordings. OMNOM is known for his engaging personality and a sense of humor that resonates well with his audience, further cementing his role as a prominent figure in the contemporary music scene. As of today, he continues to push creative limits, experimenting with new sounds and collaborations that promise to enhance his already impressive repertoire.
