 have a long history of performing together as Cell Injection. On September 16th, New York clubbers will witness their creative synergy firsthand at an undisclosed New York location.

Drumcell has a recording career dating back to high school and boasts studio engineer credits on records by bands like Maynard James Keenan’s (of Tool fame) Puscifer and Douglas McCarthy’s Black Line. He’s often cited as one of the first organizers of bonafide techno raves going back to 2000 and has released on labels like CLR and Blank Code.

Prior to adopting the stage name Truncate in 2011, David Flores performed as Audio Injection. He’s performed globally, and his music has received support from artists like DVS1, Ben Simms, and Joris Voorn.

At first, Cell Injection was the title of the two artists’ collaborative 2009 EP, borrowing a word from each of their aliases. The endeavor brought to their attention that possibilities lay brimming beneath the surface, calling for further exploration. The two artists have continued to record music under the project and have provided audiences worldwide with an unforgettable live experience.

Drumcell’s deliberate and purposeful approach to techno juxtaposes with Truncate’s improvisational risk-taking. Rather than clashing, the two schools of thought complement one another, owing in no small part to each artist’s technical skill and experience. A Cell Injection performance sheds light on a broad swath of the techno spectrum, with classic hardware sounds offset by cinematic basses across a seamless patchwork of selections.

An open-to-close set from the LA underground's fiercest champions befits a location with similar UG cred. And like the raves of days gone by, we're keeping the spot on lock. However, we can say that the New York venue has hosted dance music stalwarts like Delano Smith, Matthew Dear,
