Joshwa returns to New York City to celebrate his birthday with us on November 21 for a special Open to Close set at Brooklyn staple 99 Scott, taking control of the room from 10 PM to 4 AM for an extended journey through his unmistakable blend of house, garage, and rolling low-end grooves.

After tearing through stages at Countdown Festival on NYE, Fisher’s Catch & Release Takeover, Paradise Ibiza, and Night Trip, the UK-born selector continues to cement himself as one of the most in-demand names in club culture right now.

What makes Joshwa’s rise even more interesting is how naturally it all came together. Long before the sold-out shows and major festival slots, he was teaching himself production through YouTube tutorials, saving up for his first CDJs, and balancing music with dreams of becoming a professional footballer.

Out of My Mind

Those early influences — from 90s trance and American hip-hop to grime and UK garage — still sit at the center of his sound today, giving his records a punch that feels equally made for warehouses, festivals, and late-night dance floors.

From breakthrough records like “Energizer” and “My Humps” to standout releases on Hot Creations, Solotoko, Nervous, and Repopulate Mars, Joshwa has built a catalog designed for peak-time moments. Now, he brings that energy to 99 Scott for six uninterrupted hours in one of Brooklyn’s most raw industrial spaces. No interruptions, no filler — just Joshwa locked in all night long.
