 (which means ‘together’ in Xhosa/Zulu), Shimza is not only a musical sensation but an artist admired for his charitable efforts and initiatives across South Africa, as he promotes the local music scene in every corner of what he does.

Shimza's love for DJing originated from the music-filled environment he grew up in. Rarely was there a moment when music wasn't playing at his home. He was then further influenced by the youth radio station 

, which launched in South Africa in 1997, in which his musical taste was shaped, leading to his determination to pursue the art of DJing.

Overcoming the challenges of learning how to DJ in the first instance, he has become an influential figure in South Africa's music landscape, as well as a teacher of the history of his country. All you gotta do is take a look at his
