. We're welcoming back our Aussie-born friend to New York for another round of Fashion Week shenanigans on February 10 at the newly remodeled Musica Nightclub in Manhattan. After a year of milestone performances with primetime mainstage slots at ARC, Escape Halloween, CRSSD, and playing alongside Malaa at Club Space, we're excited to bring the bad boy of house music back to New York for his biggest headlining play yet.

Located in Hell's Kitchen, Musica Nightclub is the ideal spot to host Wax Motif's renegade basslines and hip-hop-tinged swagger. Formerly the home of Space Ibiza's US outpost, the freshly renovated venue has returned to its former glory as one of Manhattan's only proper underground dance music spots, recently hosting the likes of Victor Calderone, Layton Giordani, Yousef, Ilario Alicante, and Yulia Niko.

Joining this group of illustrious underground champions, Wax Motif is in good company. And as one of the reigning kings of bass-forward house music, he stands apart as an innovative artist whose catalog of hits has helped define the warbling shuffle of UK-inspired club music. In 2022 he broke the mold releasing his debut album, 

Digging deep into the vault, it featured 17 genre-defining originals, collabs, and remixes from his decade-spanning career.

On The Low

Beyond being a stalwart underground champion, Wax is a brilliant cross-over artist. His ability to harness the power of mainstream appeal while staying true to the underground is well-documented. From collaborations with Diddy to his heavily supported flip of Drake's "Honestly Nevermind" to recent hits like "On The Low" and "Bump Bump Bump Bump," he masterfully culls the depths of urban appeal with a serious slant towards the dark recesses of the warehouse.

As Wax remains a staple of the festival circuit, appearances in more intimate settings will continue to be rare. So, catching him at Musica in New York is an absolute must whether you're a long-time fan or a newcomer. 2023 is an even bigger year for Wax, with releases slated for Repopulate Mars and Nervous Records, so you know he's bringing those IDs. Perhaps the most unmistakable trait of Gray Area resident DJ, producer, musician, and label boss 

 is his deference for quality. It manifests in his vast catalogue of dance tracks spanning the spectrum of soulful sound — from groovy gospel house to late-aughts “blog house” to funk-infused disco. That very same commitment to sonic excellence is apparent in any of LEFTI's live sets, in which he digs to the back of the proverbial crates, unleashing disco house deeps cuts at some of the country’s preeminent nightlife institutions including New York's Avant Gardner and Le Bain, Los Angeles’ Sound, and Philadelphia’s Warehouse on Watts.
