General Information

Are there different stages with different music genres?

Yes, the Movement Festival thoughtfully curates its sonic offerings across six distinct stages, each possessing its own unique personality and often focusing on specific genres or styles . This intentional design allows attendees to navigate the festival grounds and discover sounds that resonate with their individual preferences.

The Movement Stage: Located in the amphitheater, this is the festival's main stage and features headliners, legendary artists, and performers who have made significant contributions to electronic music .

The Waterfront Stage Presented by JARS: Situated among the trees, this stage offers a diverse mix of genres including funk, hip-hop, breakbeats, and ghettotech .

The Pyramid Stage: Positioned opposite the Waterfront Stage along the river, this stage provides a scenic summer backdrop for performances .

The Stargate Stage: This stage embodies the spirit of Detroit, often featuring local artists and creating a block party atmosphere .

The Detroit Stage: Dedicated exclusively to showcasing talent from Detroit, this stage features a lineup of veterans, rising stars, and newcomers from the city's electronic music scene .

The Underground Stage: Located beneath the main level of Hart Plaza, this stage offers a "warehouse party" experience with a focus on heavier techno sounds

What are the festival hours?

The festival runs from:

Saturday: 2 PM – Midnight

Sunday: 2 PM – Midnight

Monday: 2 PM – 11 PM

Tickets & Wristbands

Where can I buy tickets?Tickets are available for purchase on the official Movement Festival website. Options include 1-day and 3-day passes, with payment plans available.

Do I need a wristband to enter?Yes, all attendees must wear a wristband for entry. Wristbands are non-transferable and should not be removed during the festival.

Entry & Security

What items am I allowed to bring?A full list of permitted and prohibited items can be found on the official website. Expect standard festival restrictions like no large bags, outside food/drinks, or illegal substances.

Is re-entry allowed?

Yes. If you have a weekend pass, you will be allowed to enter and exit the festival at any time during festival hours. If you purchase a 1-Day Pass, you will be allowed to enter and exit the festival on that day only. Please note, you will be required to properly scan your RFID wristband out of the festival each time you exit.

Facilities & Amenities

Are lockers available?

Yes! Lockers with phone charging stations are available for rent, and you can access them all day.

Will there be food and drinks available?

Yes, a variety of food and beverage vendors will be present, catering to different dietary preferences.

Accessibility

Is Movement Festival accessible for people with disabilities?

Yes, Movement provides ADA-accessible entrances, restrooms, and viewing areas for attendees with disabilities.
