Overview
Rising NYC-based DJ and producer Charles Meyer wants to make you dance, but he also wants to “send you down a path of transformation and bliss.” With his no-fuss approach to boppin’ tech house, he’s been climbing his way into the scene from coast-to-coast, gaining support from massive industry names along the way.
Meyer calls New York home after relocating from Los Angeles over a decade ago, but he’s been making music for even longer. His professional experience began behind the scenes when he snagged a position as the marketing coordinator and promotions manager for Insomniac Events back in 2010. At that time, he'd already been producing and mixing for three years. His connections at the company and his chops on the decks led him to a featured track on IN / ROTATION’s very first compilation album ROTATE Vol. 1.
On the other coast, Meyer began performing around NYC and Brooklyn in 2017. His regular performances with local house and techno collectives like Rvdioactive and Anti-Social eventually took him across the pond to an international showcase in Amsterdam. That same year, his debut EP Litmus was released and reached 16 on the Beatport House charts.
He’s continued as a regular at major East Coast events, booking the summer staple Boat Trippin’ in 2017 and 2018, plus a supporting spot for legendary producer Carl Cox at The Brooklyn Mirage in 2021. After the global, COVID-19 pandemic subsided, 2022 brought him to Miami Music Week alongside Doorly, Lee Reynolds, and Mikey Lion for the Desert Hearts takeover at the Moxy Hotel.
Outside of the clubs, his ear for great, minimal tech-house has earned him collaborations with Nite Records, Box of Cats, and Unsourced, and with support from the likes of Gettoblaster, Stefano Noferini, and Golf Clap we’re excited to see where Charles Meyer will go next.
