One of Holland’s most beloved talents, Job Jobse is a genuine and powerful force in the European electronic music scene. Now universally known and loved, Jobse got his start in the trenches of Amsterdam’s nightlife. At 17, he began attending and promoting at Club 11 regularly, where he fell in love with electronic music and the scene. The nightclub, which is now Trouw, is where he performed his first set— in the club’s restrooms.

Trouw is also where he held his first residency, spinning a mix of house and disco. He quickly built his reputation locally, which led to global recognition and performance opportunities.

Submerged deep in the scene by his 20s, Jobse found an influential spot in the midst of it all— working for Berlin-based label Innervisions. He moved to Germany for a brief time until Trouw offered him a job as an assistant booker. He was quickly promoted to head booker, where he booked Tale of Us for the first Life and Death label night in 2012. This led to a job offer as the label manager for Life and Death.

In 2018, Jobse started his own record label called De Vlieger as a place to release music from his friends. The label focuses on premiering unsigned talent, starting with Karel’s debut and a full-length album from Elias Mazian.

Jobse is now recognized as one of the most versatile and sought-after performers globally. He still stays close to his roots between international performances, holding a residency at Amsterdam’s De School where he throws his own ‘Strangelove’ parties. These shows are a place for him to connect and showcase like-minded artists.

He can also still be found performing globally and working in the music business. This year, you can catch his universally loved sets at Gottwood, Melt Festival, Glastonbury, No Bounds Festival, and much more.
