Marc Kinchen, who is more commonly known as MK on lineups and production credits, has had one of the most expansive careers as an artist over the last three decades. He is currently reveling in the resurgence of house music across America, but his time spent in the studio goes so much further than four-on-the-floor.

He’s contributed to over 500 records since he was a teenager growing up in Detroit when he was working with legends like Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson. With that early exposure to the best of the best, paired with his work ethic, he peaked at number one on the US 

 Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1993 and 1994 with the songs "Always" and "Love Changes."

At that point, Kinchen’s reputation was established and he started working in other genres like  hip-hop, R&B, and pop. In 2002 he became the in-house producer for Will Smith, and also later collaborated with Quincy Jones, Diane Warren, Tyrese, Brandy, and Pitbull

Kinchen’s return to house music was catalyzed by fellow house stalwarts Jamie Jones and Lee Foss when they all worked together on “Forward Motion,” a track for Jones’ and Foss’s band, Hot Natured.

Since then Kinchen and Foss have been working together very closely on their project Pleasure State with Anabel Englund, the celebrated vocalist who has built her own career as a DJ and producer as well. Kinchen has also landed mixes for Sam Smith, Pharrell, Paloma Faith, Ellie Goulding, Disclosure, Haim, Mary J. Blige, Diplo, Rudimental, and many more.

At this point, Kinchen is a stapled talent in the world of music. Period. His sights are always set ahead (for example he’s now working with Willow and Jaden Smith as well) but his sound is one that has been consistently groovy for thirty years.
