DJ HEARTSTRING & Friends
Brooklyn, New York

Overview
On June 22nd, Berlin-based duo DJ HEARTSTRING—aka Leo and Jonas—take over the rooftop at Superior Ingredients for a proper summer throwdown.
DJ HEARTSTRING has become one of the most talked-about acts in dance music. From Berghain to a viral Boiler Room set in Melbourne, they’ve brought their signature blend of euphoria and nostalgia to crowds across Japan, Europe, and North America.

Their story starts in a small town, long before the clubs and crowds. Leo first discovered electronic music through DJ Hero, later inspired by a life-changing Netsky performance. Jonas found his way into Berlin’s nightlife via Berlin Calling, playing clubs like Tresor and Magdalena before he was even old enough to get in. When the world shut down in 2020, they began creating music together—not for a scene, but just for themselves. The result: “Trance Dance Music” (TDM), a sound that’s fast, melodic, and full of feeling.
At first, they kept things anonymous online, focusing on music over image. But once clubs reopened, their sets—filled with unreleased gems, edits of pop classics, and Coldplay surprises—spoke directly to a generation ready to lose themselves on the floor again.
They’ve headlined their biggest show to date: a Valentine’s Day rave at London’s 3,000-capacity Roundhouse. Their EP, You Are The Sun, I Am The Sky, is a four-track collection of pure emotion, made during a winter retreat in the German countryside—music built for connection, catharsis, and movement.
Also joining DJ HEARTSTRING is Ashley Venom, a Haitian-American DJ and cultural organizer known for blending techno, electro, industrial, and Miami bass with her Haitian roots. Based in Miami, she’s brought her sound to dance floors in New York, Mexico, London, and Berlin.
She launched her career in 2013 with The Void, a monthly event series spotlighting Miami’s underground. In 2018, she became music director for FEMPOWER and co-founded Masisi, a Queer Black Diasporic party celebrating Caribbean queer expression.

Also on the lineup is San Francisco-based techno DJ and producer Sandra Mane, a regular in the Bay Area’s underground circuit. She’s played key events including THROTTLE at 1015 Folsom with Bart Skils, Mioli Music & Connect present: MOR at The Foundry, and BASEMENT at Club Six alongside DJ Gigola. With frequent appearances at F8 for CONNECT and PALETTE parties, Sandra continues to shape late-night dance floors across the city.

Returning to the Gray Area decks is Adam Meliani who has played support for names like Will Clarke, Joyhauser, BEC, Bart Skils, and more. Welcome back Adam! We're also excited to have Arianna Danae join the party.
Expect an open-air rooftop, panoramic Manhattan skyline views, and a crowd ready to dance from sunset into night. DJ HEARTSTRING isn’t just here to play tracks—they’re here to make you feel them.
See you on the roof.
