“It has been 20 years since I first dreamed of bringing my vision to Ibiza,” said Lee Foss about his Repopulate Mars summer 2022 residency at Eden in San Antonio. Fair enough — Foss had been banned from Ibiza for ten years, and the residency has been a long time coming. Lee Foss grew up in Chicago and was highly influenced by house, R&B, 90's hip-hop, 1980's electro as well as Detroit techno. One of the world's most prominent producers in dance music, he has performed at Fabric London, Watergate, Spygate Chicago, DC10, and much more. He launched the Repopulate Mars label in 2016, naming it after the party series. For the September 6 edition of Repopulate Mars at Eden, the acclaimed artist would have just returned from Burning Man and will be joined by Anna Tur, Cloonee, Dimmish, and Joseph Edmund. Anna Tur started her career in 2010 and has always had a deep link to techno. Up until 2020, she was CEO of Ibiza Global Radio TV (which her father founded). After leaving the station, she launched her own “ON AIR with Anna Tur” that is “transmitting through the magic of the airwaves the purest electronic sounds, from house to what she considers ‘a sophisticated’ techno sound”. Cloonee’s debut EP on Elrow Music in 2017 quickly climbed to Beatport’s Tech House Top 10, and “Be Good To Me” made it to #1. Aside from Repopulate Mars at Eden, Cloonee is set to perform at ARC Chicago, Firefly Music Festival in Denver, and Pacha Ibiza. A constant Beatport Top 100 artist, the Italian Dimmish dropped the bomb EP Lunar on Solid Grooves plays with percussion patterns and lead melodies, a sonic reinforcement of his ambitious vision. Hailing from Manchester is Joseph Edmund, who just recently released his single “Whatcha Gonna Do About” on Ministry of Sound — expect drifting, swinging percussion and exhilarating vocals.
