Event Recommendation
This year, the UK house and techno label Solid Grooves announced a new home for their summer Ibiza residency. For the 2022 sessions–branded Solid Grooves Motel–the collective is taking over Ibiza’s original underground club, DC-10. With the party’s original location Privilege no longer open, Solid Grooves needed a new spot to party. Now, the 17-week residency is taking place at one of the best-known clubs on the planet, made famous by hedonistic after-hours sessions and all-day partying.
Running from 11 pm to 7 am on August 18, Solid Grooves will offer its well-known mix of tech and minimal house to its cult following. This week, there is a strong lineup consisting of ANOTR B2B Toman, Blackchild B2B Wheats, Jackmaster B2B Jasper James, and Pawsa on the Terrance. In the Main room, Cristi Cons, Magda, Priku, and Remelie take the stage.
The Terrace
This week, The Terrace bears witness to an onslaught of killer collaborative performances. Sitting on top of the bill, it’s one point to team Netherlands for the fearsome threesome made up of duo ANOTR and solo artist Toman. Both projects are praised for ushering in a new era of EDM in the Netherlands, so this joint performance shouldn’t be missed.
Then, it’s a couple of Solid Grooves artists. Blackchild will blend his uber-groovy blend of tech house with UK newcomer Wheats’ electro swagger. It’ll be a surefire dance marathon until the wee hours of the morning…if you can make it that long.
In a final B2B, Glasgow boys Jackmaster and Jasper James–both Ibiza legends–collide for some dramatic tech house and heads-down techno.
Holding it all together like foundational glue is House and techno DJ PAWSA. PAWSA co-founded Solid Grooves Records alongside Michael Bibi. He’s a proven expert at controlling the crowd and uses his unique tech-house flare to guide them towards total dance delusion.
The Main Room
Gracing the Main Room are Amphia label manager Cristi Cons, multi-dimensional creative sensation Magda, Sunwaves sweetheart Priku, and elegant groove-maker Remelie.
