ZSS - Zamna Soundsystem with Jono Stephenson & Guests

Overview
Zamna Soundsystem heads to Superior Ingredients Roof on July 12 for a day-into-night session in Brooklyn. Joining them is South-African star Jono Stephenson, UK-based Redfreya, local talent PAGODA and South-African DJ Miss Hazard!
Born from the globally recognized Zamna Festival, the collective brings together artists with Italian and Maltese roots, shaping a sound that moves fluidly across techno, house, and wider electronic influences. Their sets are built on pacing and cohesion, focusing on long-form storytelling rather than quick transitions.
Since debuting on Zamna Records, Zamna Soundsystem has become a regular presence on international stages, with appearances at SXM Festival, Brunch Electronik, ANTS Ibiza, and Joseph Capriati’s Metamorfosi, alongside their own events in Tulum, Thailand, and beyond. Across each setting, they translate the Zamna identity into immersive, open-ended performances.

Joining Zamna Soundsystem for the Brooklyn day-into-night session is Jono Stephenson, a multidisciplinary artist and producer whose work sits at the intersection of club culture and visual design. Originally from South Africa, Stephenson has developed a sound shaped by influences far beyond the dancefloor, pulling inspiration from architecture, fashion, film, and street art to create productions rooted in texture and emotion.
Following the breakout success of “I Can’t Save You,” which surpassed one million streams, he has continued building momentum through releases on Zamna Records, Purified, Impressum, and Siona. His recent output, including “Lose Myself” and “Memory Leak” alongside Henri Bergmann and Layla Benitez, has earned support from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, Virgin Radio, and KISS FM, while drawing attention from outlets like Dancing Astronaut, Ibiza Spotlight, and FAZEmag.

With collaborations alongside artists such as Korolova and Sevenn on the horizon, Stephenson arrives in Brooklyn amid a strong run of international touring and new releases.
Also joining the lineup is Redfreya, a UK and US-based electronic artist whose productions have earned support from influential names including Dixon, Jimi Jules, Marcus Worgull, Frankey & Sandrino, John Digweed, and Hernan Cattaneo.

Rounding up the lineup is Miss Hazard, the South African-born DJ whose sound blends deep house, melodic elements, and globally inspired rhythms into immersive club-focused sets. Since beginning her career in Calgary in 2011, she has become a respected figure within the local electronic scene through performances at venues and collectives including BassBus, Habitat Living Sound, and HiFi Club.
At Superior Ingredients Roof, the daytime setting provides room for a full arc, where energy builds gradually and transitions are given time to land. Expect a set that unfolds with intention, prioritizing flow and cohesion across the full duration.
