Peggy Gou has solidified herself as a household name among the dance music community with her uniquely buoyant genre-blending style. She champions a tastefully subtle vintage air that attracts praise from even the most stalwart of old heads. Peggy recently turned her Midas touch on Kylie Minogue’s dance anthem, “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head.” Taking on a staple classic such as this can sometimes prove to be a tall task, Gou was up to the challenge.

Honoring the most timeless elements of the 2001 global hit, the South Korean selector maintained the original bass and synth lines and provided a fresh chopped spin to give the foundational elements new life. Gou even received the official seal of approval from Kylie Minogue herself in an interview with Vogue Scandanavia, saying, “It’s not easy to remix that song...so I was so excited to hear it, and I loved it. There was nothing to say. It was gorgeous.”

The Berlin-based music maven has been on a one-way road to the top since 2016, when she exploded onto the scene with four EPs in one year’s time. Since her thumping, acrobatic bass lines and equally dynamic countermelodies have set new standards for the sounds that facilitate God-tier vibes for hazy late-night clubs, breezy after-noon hangouts, and almost every occasion in between.

This fabulously fun remix was facilitated by none other than Magnum Ice Cream. The fact that this iconically cool collaboration was made possible by suppliers of the most refreshing of summer treats truly is the cherry on top of this succulent single. Good luck getting this one out of your head.
