We’ve left behind Spring and officially kicked off Summer, celebrating the night of San Juan all over the island followed by a weekend of distinctive parties to dance the day and night away in the most amazing venues. Find a curated selection of events for this week below:
Night of San Juan | All around the Island | Friday, June 23 & Saturday, June 24
If you are in Ibiza this weekend, be sure to attend one of the best local festivities— the patron saint’s day of John the Baptist, or Sant Joan (San Juan) on Saturday, June 24.
The night of San Juan (on Friday, June 23) is celebrated all over the island with music, singing, dancing, and bonfires in the streets and on the beaches. Attendees jump over the bonfire to drive off evil spirits as a way of purifying the body and soul. You can also write down things you want to change and throw that piece of paper into the bonfire, as a symbol of rebirth and purification. This exciting celebration is topped with a fireworks display.
On Saturday, June 24, up north at San Juan de Labritja town, the ritual is worth visiting. The islanders carry out a parade from the church to the town square, welcoming the summer season with fiery performances.
OuShe Opening Party | Pikes Hotel | Friday, June 23
Under the guidance of London-born, Ibiza-based DJ Santanna Oush, the enchanting Pikes venue launches OuShe, happening the last week of each summer month untill September. Kicking off this Friday, June 23 at 9 pm, OuShe celebrates feminine energy and creativity with a music style that goes from house and dirty underground sounds to soulful garage. Grab your most glam catwalk outfit and immerse yourself in a fashino-forward party with the best female talent.

Sacro by Mëstiza | Cova Santa | Saturday, June 24
Sacro is a concept created by Spanish duo Mëstiza that first landed in Ibiza last season. Under their Sacro events, Belah and Pitty Bernad offer an elegant fusion of flamenco and electronic music with Latin and Afro house touches. Mëstiza’s intention is to internationalize and prove the timelessness of folk music, while experimenting with new formulas from flamenco. The beautiful Cova Santa hosts Sacro once again this summer, transforming into a massive “tablao flamenco,” guided by Mëstiza and incredible live musicians, flamenco dancers, and other guests. We have a date this Saturday evening!

tINI and the Gang SlapFunk takeover | Ibiza Underground | Tuesday, June 27
tINI and the Gang are taking things to the next level this season, with Sonja Bettina (tINI) Günther and her loyal crew celebrating 13 years on the island. This party returns to the hidden jewel of Ibiza’s nightlife, Ibiza Underground in San Rafael. For the second week of this residency, tINI invites the legendary SlapFunk crew. Founded in 2012, SlapFunk is a house music label with a simple mission: to get dance floors moving. The Ritual with Anané & Louie Vega | Club Chinois | Wednesday, June 28
DJs, producers, and life partners Anané and Louie Vega are ready for thier second season at Club Chinois with The Ritual. Discover a sublime mix of Afro, tribal, deep, and soulful house, every Wednesday at the luxurious Marina Botafoch club through October 11. Cape Verdean DJ, singer/songwriter Anané and Vega, one half of production duo Masters At Work built the night in 2011 drawing from their rich personal history in New York. After a few successful seasons at Heart Ibiza (converted into Club Chinois last season), the powerhouse couple are ready to bring together their family of talented friends and the pure magic of the dancefloor every Wednesday. This week they will be accompanied by the feminine power of Cassy, French house DJ Phil Weeks and the audio engineer and music producer Bruno Roth.

Jaguar presents Utopia | Pikes Ibiza | Wednesday, June 28

Music On Daytime | Destino Ibiza | Thursday, June 29
After an amazing opening event, the second round for Music On's day party series is happening on Thursday. Kicking things off at 5 pm and continuing until midnight, these parties are the perfect chance to get a taste of Ibiza's famed outdoor dancing scene. Marco Carola and his Music On imprint remain one of the busiest parties on the island week-after-week (happening at Pacha every Friday).
