Avant Gardner
Overview
The journey to creating Avant Gardner began further back than one might think. In order to understand it, one must look at Cityfox. The founders of the party brand got their start in Switzerland in 2006. Over the years they built up the brand before bringing it to New York City.
After years of throwing events all over the city, they sought out a permanent home. The Brooklyn Mirage was built in 2016 but due to city regulations was not able to open. After receiving a liquor license, the outdoor venue as well as the multiple attached warehouses were able to open under the name, Avant Gardner.
A multi-room warehouse spectacle, Avant Gardner is one of the leading spaces in the country. Located in East Williamsburg, the venue is a walk to the L train and an easy cab from pretty much anywhere in the city. It boasts the highest level of visual production and sound, and regularly has the best names in dance music gracing its stages.
VIP tables line the right side of the room, and the owners are consistently working on improving everything they can. Avant Gardner has two permanent structures, the large Great Hall and the smaller Kings Hall, as well as many other pop-up rooms such as a large circus tent, and an A-frame warehouse that allow the venue to host multi-room events.
