Gray Area Picks: Top 5 Restaurants You Need to Visit in San Antonio
You may know San Antonio as one of the best pre-clubbing destinations on the island, with its promenade lined with bars, the infamous West End and the glamorous Sunset Strip (home to Café Mambo and Cafe del Mar).
What you may not know San Antonio for is its foodie scene that boasts endless options for all. Throughout the west-coast town, there's a whole host of restaurants; high-end, local, budget-friendly and quirky, suited to all tastes.
We’ve done the hard work for you and picked our 5 favourites that you need to visit during your trip to Ibiza in 2023.
Tapas Restaurant & Garden
You’ll find this hidden gem situated just behind the main San Antonio promenade, a couple of minutes walk from Linekers and Ibiza Rocks Bar.
Tapas Restaurant & Garden is an old country finca that has been converted into a casual restaurant and bar, with a cute garden and lounge area. As with any tapas restaurant, the experience is perfectly made to be shared with a group of friends, where you can indulge in a selection of the incredible dishes that they serve.
From traditional tapas dishes to more inspired international flavours, it might be hard to make a choice, but we’re sure you’ll manage.

Rita’s Cantina
From morning until the early hours of the following day, you will find the terrace of Rita’s an interesting but bustling mix of locals, families, party-goers and tourists - exactly the way it has been for almost 30 years - and we wouldn’t change a thing.
Famous for their simple but hearty breakfasts, sandwiches and delicious crêpes, Rita’s Cantina will always remain a firm favourite of ours. The speedy service and caring staff make any Rita’s experience an enjoyable one. In the evening, the most popular dishes on the menu include the Nasi Goreng and Shawarma. Unexpected, but absolutely delicious.
Rita’s Cantina is located right in the centre of San Antonio, at the very end of the Paseo Marítimo and next to The Skinny Kitchen. For those of you on a budget this summer, this is a great place to fill your tummies before a big night out.
Ibiza Rocks Bar
Now, it might have ‘bar’ in the title, but we’re here to talk about the food.
Pick a time of day and Ibiza Rocks Bar have you covered. From classic breakfast options until noon, to their towering burgers and fall-off-the-bone ribs and wings covering lunch and dinner, their menu certainly doesn’t disappoint.
And if you haven’t tried the legendary Ibiza Rocks Bar Chicken Pitta yet - decision made! Known island-wide by residents, workers and tourists alike, it’s a dish that has saved a few souls in Ibiza, that’s for sure!
With its prime position on San Antonio’s promenade, you can enjoy an amazing meal, incredible cocktails and an electric atmosphere right on the beach, all whilst watching an infamous Ibiza sunset.
Chi Kee Wun
We’re a fan of a pun, so when Chi Kee Wun opened in 2022, we were first through the doors!
Situated in the bay of San Antonio, this hidden oriental garden is perfect for date night, groups or a lavish pre-clubbing dining experience.
Expect fine Asian fusion in an al fresco dining setting; a culinary journey through eight Chinese regions with dishes made with top-quality ingredients. The menu includes tantalising creations such as Wagyu and Foie Gras Dim Sum, Honey Glazed Spare Ribs, Sichuan Squid and the mouth-watering Red Hot Chilli Lobster.
Don’t forget to check out the drinks list, because it is bursting with exciting themed cocktails to compliment your meal.
528 Ibiza (Dinner & Show)
You will find 528 just outside of San Antonio town, in the Benimussa Hills.
You can visit the 528 gardens, which has an incredible street food concept, or add to your experience by booking the 528 dinner show.
Imagined by head chefs Gonzalo Aragüez and Massimo Bartelloni, 528’s dinner menu is inspired by the elements and combines seasonal and km0 products in creative dishes that, last year, earned the restaurant the Sabors de Eivissa (Flavours of Ibiza) certification.
The exquisite menu is accompanied by a carefully curated selection of cocktails, skillfully put together by expert mixologists.
What’s captivating about 528 Ibiza is that the whole experience is a journey. From entering the venue at, you guessed it, five minutes to eight (7:55 pm) you almost become part of the story. Ibicenco Bartolo Escandell, the owner of the land that the venue stands on, dreamt of this concept since the 70s and finally, in 2021, was able to bring it to life.
